am i the only one that didn't think it was hot last year? i thought the weather was perfect. but last year was my first time at sasquatch after barely surviving bonnaroo a few times.
Yes. You are the only one. Last year was unholy, last year was awful. Last year was the only time I've seen a crowd cheer for twelve seconds of cloud cover.
then don't ever go to bonnaroo, if you haven't already. i thought i was going to die every time we went. it's on a farm with about 3 trees for about 80,000 people. the sun is blisteringly large and much too near the earth. people were literally dropping like flies during the afternoon shows and even into the evening shows. and if you're 5'7" like me and usually surrounded by much taller people, it's really hard to inhale with all that humidity and hippie funk. i do miss roo though. maybe someday they'll have a decent lineup again.
i'm sorry but i thought the weather last year at sasquatch was amazing and will not complain if we have a repeat.
yeah yeah yeahs devotchka (can't miss) doves king khan & the shrines ra ra riot passion pit tvotr pbj of montreal (can't miss) m83 st vincent deadmau5 natalie portman's shaved head gogol bordello (can't miss) santigold grizzly bear eits girl talk blitzen trapper monotonix black moth super rainbow school of seven bells chromeo tobacco
there are a few others that i wouldn't mind seeing if nothing else is going on. and of course, there's always the stuff i haven't heard before. it's always fun to discover new artists by seeing them live.
Chromeo, Deadmau5, King Khan & the Shrines. Not your typical Canadian artists, but there are still a few. I was really hoping for one or more of the Wolf Parade side projects..Sunset Rubdown, Handsome Furs (new album), Swan Lake (new album), Blackout Beach (new album), Frog Eyes, Johnny & the Moon, or even maybe Wolf Parade! God they have a lot of side projects!
^^^any of that would be cool. i did see wolf parade once, but i thought it was the most boring show i'd ever seen. however, i do really like their music, so i am more than willing to give them another shot or two.
i think the lineup is pretty good too. i was really hoping for band of horses though.
we were debating between bonnaroo and sasquatch this year. been to roo twice and was kinda disappointed in last year's lineup. but bonnaroo has taught me how to not care about headliners, since i'm not usually interested. so sasquatch's hl's look pretty good in comparison to two nights of phish.
