I think I'm overwhelming myself and freaking out about the logistics of this whole thing. I'm on the verge of selling my ticket and just going regular camping with friends that weekend instead. Solo and first time combined just seems like too much.

It is fun when you feel like going out, but parking tends to be a bitch and there's nothing quite like getting to your car to find another drunken idiot/inconsiderate asshole has given your car yet another "love tap."
But yeah, 3 Floyds doesn't distribute out here, so unless you're a beer nerd who somehow finds it fun to spend way more on beer (because of shipping costs) than any intelligent person ever would for beer that probably tastes remarkably similar to locally available options, no reason for you to have. /selfdepricationrant
More on topic, I'm looking forward to trying the Seattle Beer Week Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout by Elysian. You might be into that one too, as a Cappuccino Stout replacement.

3 Floyds out of Indiana. I did a beer trade of a bunch of Plinys for a Midwest grab bag. This was a fun but sort of meh one. I'm around Capitol Hill.

Bottle is better than the beer, but I'd drink it again

Pine Box used to be Chapel. It's in the Bottleworks/Brouwer's/Burgundian "family." 30-something taps going with pretty decent variety. And nice to have a beer bar on this side of town. 2 thumbs up.

I'm currently trying a gluten free diet to see if it helps with some medical stuff. Gluten free beer sucks. And the more I drink, the worse it is.
I have a Westvleteren 12 waiting for me once I'm done with this stupid diet.

I'm trying to get my friend from Baltimore to come join me for this, but if that doesn't work out do I need to be overly concerned about camping as a solo female? You know, other than not announcing plans to wander off into the darkness alone to a bunch of bros? Or this mase fella I've seen mentioned.

Best part: "But, as Jezebel's own Erin Gloria Ryan put it, 'Wasn't the entire Kony 2012 campaign essentially this white guy masturbating in public?'"

Next is Fallout, a green cardamom pale ale, so I see no reason for you to change course anytime soon. Idiot Sauvin is a good one though. I live a few blocks from Elysian's cap hill brew pub, so I end up drinking more of their beer than I would otherwise. Their pumpkin beer fest is fun though. As far as artwork, I really liked Sierra/Dogfish's Life & Limb And in an entirely different way, this guy

I was expecting fun interesting brews from the Elysian's 12 Beers of the Apocalypse series. 0/2 so far. January's Nibiru Yerba Mate tripel was ok, but sort of bland and pretty unremarkable. February's Rapture Heather Ale is too sweet and just not my thing. Maybe the one released next week will be better. I'll probably keep buying these just for the bottles/artwork, but I was hoping for so much more.

I bought a bottle of the Maple Bacon ale for novelty's sake (after they changed their original stance that you had to buy it by the case, cash only, $156) and brought it to a new year's party to share. Granted most people were drinking hard alcohol, no one who tried it had more than 3-4 ounces of the stuff and I ended up dumping about 1/3 of the bottle. It's a novelty and not horrible, but hard to drink more than a tasting size.
As far as Voodoo goes, you don't just have to put cold bacon on a donut. You can put stale cereal on one instead!

Thanks for finding that. Seems pretty simple and shouldn't be too hard to craft my own version

Thanks folks, you've all been super helpful. I'll do a bit of searching for that protein bar recipe once I have real computer access. I thought about bringing tuna, but wasn't sure how practical that was. Good to know it is. And I plan on bringing my camelback bladder to throw in my bag and refill throughout the day.
In previous camp/canoe trips that involved lots of day drinking I brought along a few cans of those cucumber infused waters. Super refreshing and probably the thing I was most happy I had. I'm going to try to look into a way of doing that myself, otherwise I'll have to buy quite a few of those.

It's usually only Sundays and the holiday itself they're closed. Thursday, Friday, or Saturday you'll be fine. Although it's worth noting that some close earlier in the evening than others so don't plan on a 10pm purchase.

BRAWNDO!
Also, just a peanut allergy, but most other nuts, trail mix, power bars and that sort of thing are all 'processed in a facility that also processes peanuts or peanut by-products.' Sometimes I'll risk those things in everyday life, but having to OD on benedryl and potentially stab myself with an epi-pen doesn't sound like all that great of a way to celebrate Sasquatch.

I'm currently in Wisconsin visiting the grandparents. I love all the options in the PNW, but New Glarius makes me happy. Also, arriving and finding that my grandpa has stocked up on craft beer for my visit fills my little hamster heart with joy.

I managed to get some Pliny the Younger yesterday. It was good but definitely over-hyped in terms of taste. But damn I would wear it as a perfume if that were even halfway reasonable.

I'm one of those freaks that is deathly allergic to peanuts and most of the suggested staple snacks to bring in tend to pb&j's and trail mix, both of which would probably make for a pretty crappy day for me. Short of paying out the ass for substandard food, are there any other viable and somewhat hearty suggestions that have held up well for people in past years?
I just got a dehydrator so I'll probably be making jerky (any fantastic marinade recipes?) and maybe banana chips or pineapple and the like.
I know it's pretty early to be planning this stuff, but just trying to work out a general game plan and make sure to budget out appropriate funds.
