I don't have any space in my car to offer, but I was wondering if there is anyone from Vancouver that would want to possibly show me around town after the festival. We'll be going there for 3 days after and don't really know anything about the city.

We'll (hopefully) be in Friday night. We're not from anywhere near the northwest, so it'd be nice to meet up with some people earlyon. How many people are there on Fridays usually?

I usually go strictly for the undercard groups. Headliners are usually just a bonus.
I'm most excited about EITS, Gogol Bordello, Black Moth Super Rainbow (& Tobacco), Ra Ra Riot, Chromeo, etc.
Devotchka is really good live (Voodoo 08) and Gogol is just friggin intense! We saw him at the HoB last year and it was just awesome. BMSR is good live, not much different from their albums, imo.

My g/f and I would definitely sign. Considering how many festivals have re-entry it doesn't make any sense. Even Voodoo Fest here in New Orleans has reentry, and it's not even a camping festival.

I'm curious as to how the wristbands are at Sasquatch? I'm assuming they use wristbands, as paper tickets don't always survive a weekend. Are they the euro-style fabric ones that a lot of festivals have been using since last year? (they all come from the same company but the name escapes me) Or are they some sort of paper/plastic variant? I'm really liking the fabric ones and am hoping to have another to add to my growing collection.

You drive into the campground and camp right behind or next to your car. I would say forget wildhorse if your concerned about the party, you will want the full gorge experience for your first time... Ah, ok, I'm not sure why I thought it was going to be different than the other fests. We went ahead and got general camping tickets. Anyone know anything about the wristbands that were used last year? Or do they even use wristbands?

Have you made the trip there before? I'd love some info on the trip there, as we've never gone out west before, and certainly haven't crossed the Rockies. It may even be wise to do a convoy if it would work out.

Oh nice. Would you happen to have any extra room in the car for 1-2 people? I promise we'd chip in for gas and all that, and keep the trip entertaining of course! I guess I should have checked first....are you going anywhere near Lawrence? Unfortunately, not at all. We use my girlfriend's accord every year for festivals and it's always pretty much packed to capacity. Plus our EZ-Up doesn't fit unless we fold down the backseat. Sorry about that.

Explosions in the Sky Jane's Addiction Nine Inch Nails Yeah Yeah Yeahs TV on the Radio Black Moth Super Rainbow The Decemberists Animal Collective Of Montreal Silversun Pickups Gogol Bordello Chromeo Girl Talk Kings of Leon
Not sure if the comedy acts count, but I definitely want to see Demitri Martin and whatever Tim/Eric are putting on. I've seen Zach before, but if there isn't much going on I'll definitely catch his show.

Ok, first timer here. Have a few questions.
1st. Reentry. I know it's been covered somewhat in this thread, but I'm a little confused still. Is that reentry via vehicles or at the venue itself? I'm used to Bonnaroo/Rothbury camping, so it's quite different.
2nd. I've gathered this is not the standard park-by-your-car festival type camping, so how far is the walk to the campgrounds from the parking lots?
3rd. Would a shade canopy be necessary for the campgrounds? I can't imagine there being much shade.
4th. I'm very curious about the Wildhorse campground. It seems like a good deal, but I'm concerned about the availability of party favors in the campground. Is this even an issue?
I'll probably have lots more questions, as I am completely new to this festival.
Edit: One more thing... what about wristbands? Are they the fabric type that they've been using for festivals in 08?

This'll be my first time out there... hell, it'll be my first time on the west coast. I wanted to make sure I see the Gorge. Oh, and the lineup is right up my alley.
