How did you guys find Madeon? I'm super pumped to check him out at Coachella He was really good, kid is super talented. Hard to believe he's opening for SHM at Milton Keynes. Puts on a super fun funky dance party. He does all of his performing live on monomes, and he's damn good.

Hard to put a finger on favorite set, I really liked the musical diversity of the lineup. The second day combo of Datsik -> Madeon -> A-Trak -> Bassnectar made for my favorite day of music. Big Gigantic -> Pretty Lights was a fantastic combo as well.

At SnowGlobe he opened up with his Hot Like Sauce Rustified Remix. Were you at SnowGlobe thefrush? That's the one... I was there, but... certain factors prohibited me from remembering what version he opened with, I just knew it was HLS.

As he isn't currently on tour and is playing a few festivals this spring, I have a feeling he's gonna come out with a new track that he will probably be opening his shows with. Just a hunch though, he opened at Snowglobe with what sounded like a VIP remix of Hot Like Sauce.

I'm still pretty convinced it's Feed Me based on what Owen said, but the fact that they still haven't announced it officially makes me think that just maybe something fell through. I would love it if Wolfgang got moved to a late night set since I'm pretty worried he will conflict with Jack White and I probably won't miss Jack White for some super fun jump around music. Does Wolfgang have much of a light show? That seems to be a bit of a requirement for a late night set. This picture makes it look smaller than it is, imo.

I think that one is working. The one that was a dead end was the one frush posted. Mah bad! Is that the Tomorrowland link? I just read through the Wolfgang Gartner thread from Coachella 2010 and it seems the general consensus was that he put on one of the best DJ sets of the weekend that year. I'm getting more and more excited to see him destroy the Shack! It was, I had listened to a few of his songs prior to the festival, but that set is where I truly discovered him. He played until sunset and then Pretty Lights came on. ;D

This is going to be so awesome. Definitely one that I missed my first few times looking through the lineup.
Cox: I just want to make out…What you're saying. Darlene: Read my lips. Its what you're looking for. Cox: Here I am a sneaking... behind ya. Darlene: You can always come in my backdoor.

Haha nice thanks, I'm listening to his essential right now actually as I realized I hadn't heard it in a while after writing that. I definitely recommend that Tomorrowland set though, as it's from just last summer and it's really freakin' good.

Now you know why he goes by Spor and Feed Me.

And it is a 'they' not a 'he' and they have been touring with Mau5trap. I am fairly certain that this means Feed Me at Sasquatch. Hopefully Owen meant to say 'he' and we really have Porter Robinson for our late night set. Shit would be cray Feed Me is a he. Jon Gooch, the artist formerly known as Spor. What exactly was the rumor that Owen said? Did he specify that it would be a solo act or a group? If he said solo act under mau5trap then it does seem most likely that we would get Feed Me w/ ;D, which would please me greatly.

Pretty Lights is the musical project of Derek Vincent Smith from Colorado and has gained quite a bit of popularity over the past couple of years. He used to play live with a drummer but meow performs solo. He gained popularity by always releasing all of his music for free through his website and by touring extensively. He's been known to play marathon sets on occasion, unfortunately I've never had the pleasure of enjoying one. I discovered him through some songs of his that were used for some ski movies several years back. He is my favorite electronic music act, and although I'm not sure how much of his live sets are actually 'live' he always throws extremely enjoyable funky dance parties and closing out Friday night on the main stage at The Gorge will be no different. He has an awesome live setup that lives up to his name and with our added contribution of glow it's gonna be an awesome experience.
This was one of the first live videos I ever saw of him and has always been one of my faves.
I love all of his music, but this song always gets the crowd movin' a little bit harder.
The build-up and drop in this song is one of my favorites of his.
His live setup looks a little bit different meow (and might be even more different by Sasquatch) but here's a representation of it from Bonnaroo last year and also shows his potential for marathon sets (played til sunrise, so jealous of all in attendance).
And here's his latest track, which is about as chill as you can possibly get. ;D

So I've sampled enough Wolfgang Gartner to decide I should buy an album. Starting point anyone? Wolfgang is an entirely different animal live than on record. He has an extremely deep catalog of music and his mixing is flawless. I would highly suggest listening to his essential mix from 2010, I also really like this set from a WMC pool party: www.funkyhousemusic.com/2010/04/08/wolfgang-gartner-live-dj-mix-gansevoort-beach-wmc-2010/I realize those are a bit older, but he has stayed true to himself and continues to play phenomenal house sets with awesome surprises and innovative material every time I've seen him. His latest single There And Back worries me a bit as it seems to be an attempt to get into the wildly popular progressive house segment but I respect him for experimenting and I just hope he doesn't start pushing his livesets that way. Here's a set from last July, I haven't listened to it yet as I'm downloading it right meow but I'm sure it is a good one. ;D mixing.dj/2011/livesets/wolfgang-gartner-live-tomorrowland-2011-belgium-24-07-2011/His Coachella set from 2010 was phenomenal and can be viewed in full on youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm8xzUOmjY0&hd=1He's my favorite DJ and I can't wait to get down to his funky sounds with all you fools.

I would be ecstatic if we got a late night Feed Me (With Teeth!!!) set, as I am going to another show the night he's playing in SF.
I saw him last year at Ruby Skye and it was phenomenal.

Wolfgang is my favorite DJ and he has never disappointed live. Though his new track There & Back leaves a lil bit to be desired.
