Still love it. The video is almost weird enough to match the song.

A still from The Reader is the most surprising avatar I've seen in a while.

Game Genies, planking, and Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ales, oh my! Nice thread. Sorry I'm late. I have two Lagunitas Suckses in my fridge and some botanical goodness, so I'll start playing ketchup. Oh, and this... Weenie, I tried to somehow phonetically spell out the trumpet riff to Whitetown. But it was too hard and looked like nonsense. ...is hilarious, but also reminds me of the incredibly poor decision-making process that led to me singing that song in a karaoke bar. Don't pick that song for karaoke.

Let's get Llorando (Club Silencio) to close out the fest. No hay banda! Ha, that would be something. Rebekah del Rio, the emcee, the trumpets...

Thanks for the warm welcome. Thinking about someone lurking here for four fucking years seriously creeps me out. I assumed that if they only went in '09 then that is when they were lurking. Mostly correct. I glanced at the rumors and predictions threads in advance of last year's lineup announcement, too. Otherwise my lurking was limited to 2009 and was strictly information-gathering on the standard festival n00b questions. You needn't fear that I've been watching you since 2009. Well, if you wanna trust the word of anonymous Internet guy who calls himself "mysexualdad," anyway.

Greetings. Lurking this forum was helpful when I was preparing to go to Sassafras '09. Woof that I am considering a 2012 return, I figured I'd actually stop and say hello instead of anonymously benefiting from the collective wisdom this time around. So, uh... thank you.
Names: is for tombstones What my user name represents/means: short-lived LA mustache band From: San Francisco right woof, but I'm itching to get back to Portland, Oregon, my hometown Favorite Bands: all the massively popular bands of the last 50 years that everybody else likes, The Fresh & Onlys, Magic Trick, every other Tim Cohen project, Eternal Tapestry, Death in June, Malaria!, PJ Harvey, Elliott Smith, Mirah, Eyedea and other "college" rap, everything James Jamerson and the Funk Brothers touched, the big LA/SF punk bands, some NWOBHM, that Eric Prydz video with the bodacious bods... I dunno... I mostly suck at music and listen to the same stuff all the time, hence the appeal of a festival to forcibly broaden my horizons My All-Time Favorite Artist: Bob Ross First Concert Attended: Gordon Lightfoot (Rose Garden, 1997ish) Last Concert Attended: Magic Trick (924 Gilman, 2011) All time Favorite Concert: Leonard Cohen (Rose Garden, 2010) or NIN (Sasquatch, 2009--lucky enough to be very close, so no sound issues, and what a set!) All time Favorite Festival: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2011 (free, ten blocks from my front door, and Dark Star Orchestra made it 1975 in Golden Gate Park) Sasquatches Attended: 2009, 2012 (*fingers crossed*) Sasquatch Wishlist: Tim Cohen's Magic Trick, DSO/Furthur back-to-back for like five hours to end the festival, a hot afternoon of girl bands like Vivian Girls and The Sandwitches, Bjork, and Tim & Eric (I didn't know who they were in 2009, so I missed 'em; I'd love to see Tim Heidecker do a PowerPoint on the big mainstage screen, or something like that)
