Song that made me buy my first album: "Hello time bomb" by Matthew Good Band. I believe the album was big shiny chunes 4 and I think that its buried in my closet somewhere.
Song that made you buy an album and wonder, "Why did I buy that album?": "Pushing me" by Slaves on dope. I was 13 or 14 and was at my first concert. I think it was called Hullabaloo or something like that but it was headlined by The Offspring. Anyway, they were the first band up and sounded incredible so I bought the album. It sucked, the song on the album sucked, after listening to it a few times I realized the band sucked too. I learned a hard lesson that day. Live music and recorded music are rarely the same thing.
You are 5 minutes from passing out and you find yourself with a set of headphones: Chvrches - "Tether"
Current song that you are embarrassed to like. Because, you know, we all have those people in our lives that make us listen to the radio: Coldplay - "Paradise"
Song you wish you would never hear again: Lorde - "Royals". I swear it plays every 15 minutes on the peak.
Song I always come back to: The National - "England"
Song you liked until you found out all the douchebags liked it: Foster the People - "Pumped up kicks"
I need to go to sleep: M83 - "Hurry up, we're dreaming"

SORRY FOR DOUBLE POST!! (AND CAPS) You should apologize for saying Alt-J was a highlight. Never! Alt-J played an amazing set imo. This year's lineup was kind of underwhelming for me. I was really excited to see Mumford and they didn't disappoint but the other bands I wanted to catch kind of let me down. I don't know if it was the speakers or the annoying girl behind me singing along, non stop and tone deaf, but I thought their set sounded hollow and not quite right. Arctic Monkeys surprised me. I was never a big fan of their albums but they were very good on the main stage. There's always next year

Seeing Alt-J was the highlight of the festival for me. That was one hell of a set and the crowd was right into it. Having a 15 year old kid who looked like Justin Bieber and said his name was Mclovin try to sell me weed at camp was pretty good too. If I was able to stand I may have bought some. Regrets...

I would love to see the National at the gorge. I have seen them play twice in Vancouver and they are better live imo. I missed chvrches at last years fest but I hope they come back for 2014. I can't stop listening to their new album. Crystal Castles Handsome Furs The Naked and Famous At the end of the day I really don't care what the lineup is. I enjoy the camp life and all the people that come with it as much as the music. Sasquatch is the only festival I've ever been to but from reading the boards here I'm not really missing out.

Does anyone know if people will be scalping wristbands at the festival grounds? I've got my ticket and another friend has one but we are one short. She doesn't mind paying a little extra but definitely not $500.

Looking for a ticket for a friend in Chilliwack. She doesn't want to pay much more than face value. If anyone can help me find one I will throw in some leg humping at the festival. Or get you drunk.

How can you still be unfamiliar with 80% of the line up? Its been out for two months. I've been too lazy to do any thorough research on any of them. I'll probably end up waiting until a week before the fest to actually do any serious searching. That way if I really dig something I'll be that much more amped to see them.

I don't plan on being able to speak any form of coherent english after 2 in the afternoon so your terms are acceptable.

This will be my 3rd year in a row attending but the first I'll be going solo. The 1st year I went with 2 friends who were sick the whole time and none of us really did any serious partying. Last year I had one friend come along and we had camp neighbours from vegas who would come around every morning with jager and oj. The whole weekend was a gong show. This year its just me and I'm kind of nervous about how it will turn out. I'm pretty much entirely socially awkward and am pretty shy around people I don't know. Some of you guys seem like you'd be accepting of weirdos like me and I hope to meet some of you down there.
I see a lot of people seem to be coming down from around Vancouver and if anyone is interested in carpooling / ride sharing I may be down for that. My jeep isn't luggage friendly it seats 2 comfortably with gear but I think a 6 hour drive alone down there wil be pretty boring.

Alt-J - The Lumineers is really the only conflict for me so far. I'm not familiar with 80% of the artists anyway so this weekend I'll lock myself in my room and listen to a few songs from everyone playing. After that I'll be back to bitch about such and such.

That was one hell of a game. If the hawks would have played better in the first half... Now I have no team to cheer for. Yay sports!
