Surprisingly us all hanging out at Sasquatch is one of the few social situations I'm NOT anxious about. Weird. I say that now though, next thing I know I'll be too shy come Sasquatch. Alcohol will help that though.

More recent episode of the Comedy Bang Bang podcast had St. Vincent as a guest for the whole episode with interview (not really a serious interview), shenanigans, and she played really beautiful minimal versions of her songs throughout the whole show. Also had Zach Galifianakis the whole show (as well as Sasquatch '12 comedian Nick Kroll on as El Chupacabra and another character I can't remember). www.earwolf.com/episode/anniversary-party/

All my personalities are unraveling throughout this board. I am every member of this board. As I say this, I realize I'm just explaining this fact to all my other selves. I need help.

In summation, don't waste your day watching one act you don't want to see just so you can get a good spot in the pit for a band you do want to see. You'll be able to see that band perfectly fine regardless of the time you get there . I promise. Tell that to Lumpy I was wondering if someone was gonna remind me of that. Luckily it made me dodge the mistake of missing They Might Be Giants that was my original plan.

And hey, sometimes you way overestimate the popularity of the band you want to see and then you've got plenty of room to dance around like an idiot and let everyone smirk at you. Pavement.Wait, you saw me do that?

Great, so every mistake I make on this board will be set in stone? Wonderful!!! You cans at least just click modify and just delete everything in the post, but then everyone will be wondering what you said that you wanted no one else to see.

And Pea, you know you don't need a silly meetup to hang out. The Pea-party follows you and you know it.

I'm glad there's another Pavement fan around here...for so long everytime I would even mention Pavement people would stare at me blankly or only vaguely have anything to say about them! Definitely the same here (obviously). Saw them in Chicago at Pitchfork, the first New York date, and in Atlanta (I live in South Carolina). The others were good. But they seemed stiff and trying too hard to impress, which is what made me love the Sasquatch set.

Pavement, now Ty Segall, awesome. I actually just covered "Imaginary Person" with one of my bands a few days ago. I think you're just using the smart "noob" tactic of liking all the favorite bands of one of the regulars so that they'll defend you. You have my blessing.

Again, I have no memories of a "bitchfit." I will agree on the day drunk. It was Malkmus' birthday, and apparently "LCD Soundsystem feed [them] a lot of great champagne backstage." And then of course there was the technical difficulties which involved having to restart Rattled by the Rush about three times, with long pauses.
These unfortunate circumstances actually made the entire set from then on great for me. I saw them 3 other times on that tour, and all of them they were kinda stiff, but the rest of the show they just had this "fuck it, let's have fun" attitude that I loved. They've always kinda improvised during their songs, but this especially happened at the Sasquatch set. Malkmus and even the others were getting really adventurous with the songs, trying new things (I guess if you don't have a deep familiarity with Pavement, you might not notice). There was so much energy through the whole show, and it sounded nothing like the other 3 shows that I saw.
"What I was talking about is more of the fact that Malkmus' voice isn't perfect, they have messy arrangements at times but it's not a reflection on their skill or talent. They're just not going to be a band like, say, The Black Keys where everything sounds tight and perfect."
Also, the rest of the bands weekend sounded almost so tight and perfect to me at times that it could almost sound sterile. Pavement was a little bit refreshing after all this.
Alright everyone, shit away!

I don't get why they decided to put the Sasquatch stage there. That's an awful place to have music.

Also, the sports threads definitely win the awards for never going off topic. I always check them in case something other than sports comes up.
It never does.

I think you've met the least amount of board members out of all of the regulars, How many have you met Lumpy? The only ones I've met were Pea, Ro and misscoley. Only Cat and Stampz. This is 100% because I live on the east coast and couldn't make it to Sasquatch last year.
