On topic, I really want to see Snow Patrol anyone think that it is a possibility? I would honestly loathe to see snow patrol at Sasquatch this year. How about something like Friday Pearl Jam Sub/ KOL Saturday David Bowie Sub/ Arcade Fire Sunday Radiohead Sub/ Explosions in the Sky (OR) MBV How awesome would that be??? Prolly very unlikely, but that would be the happiest weekend of my life. How about aswell we throw in Cloud Cult, Bon Iver, Beirut (at a later time, it was criminal to have them play such a short set last year!) Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip and The Swell Season too? Lofty dreams my friend, but I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. But if PJ is there, I would imagine that they would close on Monday.

I just Stumbled onto Joe Cocker's website and he is starting a tour in April. His last tour date listed is May 22 in Sonoma, CA...

This board was way better last year. This makes me sad! Flogging Molly are super awesome live!! That's because at this time last year, we actually had something of an idea of what to expect. We're pretty much in the dark at the moment.

I don't think The Strokes could necessarily be a selling point for Sasquatch, but I could see them as a third headliner. I, like everyone else, have no idea what the headliners look like, but if they had trouble booking big names, I wouldn't exactly be surprised to see them in an HL slot. They would be better there than KOL, so that would at least be a plus. So I definitely wouldn't go crazy if they were a headliner, but I would definitely expect them to put on a decent show.

I really hope Kanye is not there. I loved College Dropout, and Late Registration was alright, but based on how disgustingly mainstream he has become, I hope that he and his following are absent from Sasquatch this year. We might be overrun by frat guys with shaved chests who truly believe that Kanye is the Jimi Hendrix of this generation (actual comparison made by Kanye himself). I will admit though, that I would rather see him there than No Doubt or a few of the other names that have been dropped.

I think dusty was implying that they probably wouldn't do a late night show because they play other shows the next 2 nights. I think we can all agree that they will almost definitely be there on Saturday. Got it. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I'd like to throw two name into the hat -Sigur Ros -The Strokes As awesome as Sigur Ros would be, I have a hard time seeing them coming all the way out just for Sasquatch. They have no tour dates anytime soon, and while I would love to see them there, I would be surprised. I think they would be a perfect headliner though.

that would be mind blowing! I could not agree with that more but i doubt with there tour schedule that they will do it. I'm not sure which tour schedule you saw, but Animal Collective is playing Vancouver, BC on May 24 and Portland on May 25, with no Seattle show. I would be AMAZED if they do not play Sasquatch on Saturday.

Admittedly, I don't speak from experience, but I would imagine that seeing Vedder performing Into the Wild on his own would be VERY different than seeing Pearl Jam at the Gorge. I'm sure that a few people who look at these boards would agree.

I would be shocked if the lineup is that good. I think we're all setting ourselves up for disappointment with this. That being said, I think you did a great job doing your research and coming up with a lineup that is at least theoretically possible. I would LOVE if you were absolutely spot on with all your predictions.

I changed Fleetwood Mac's status, who are now seeking spiritual treatment based on recently posted tour dates. I added Supermodels Arcade Fire, Phish, and Blur. I also updated DMB and No Doubt. I disagree that Kings of Leon can headline just because they headlined Glastonbury. As far as I know, they are much bigger in Europe, and Friday's lineup from Glastonbury last year was very sub-par. I could argue six bands playing said fest Saturday/Sunday are bigger in the states, especially in the NW. I may be underestimating the success of their newest album though. I think people are aiming a bit low for headliners based on a few comments. I think with the recession, festivals need to book a couple big draws to ensure high ticket sales. This appears to be the case with McCartney at Coachella and the Boss/Phish at Bonnaroo. Sasquatch's headliners over the past four festivals have been some of the bigger acts out there. How about My Bloody Valentine? The Sasquatch/Primavera combo isn't unprecedented (Grizzly Bear in '07 and Okkervil River in '08). And I think with all the reason to talk about Costello, he would at least be in the running.

the thermals were scheduled for 2007 but cancelled so they could tour in Europe. I've had the pleasure of seeing them 3 times, 1 time at the side stage at Download Festival at the gorge, and they are amazing. I'm counting on them being at sasquatch for sure, along with blitzen trapper. Do you have any knowledge behind those predictions? Or just hope? Because I would also love to see those two, among others.

Completely ignoring the post above me, I realize that Sub Pop artists aren't usually anything for NW fans to get super worked up about, but what do people think about a few of them being on the bill? A bunch of them have new albums out and many of them are touring this Spring. I haven't looked very deeply into them, but:
Band of Horses Blitzen Trapper - New album and touring this Spring Fleet Foxes - Touring this Spring Helio Sequence - Touring this Spring Iron & Wine - New album Mudhoney - New album and touring this Spring The Shins The Thermals Wolf Parade
I would love to see any of these artists there; better yet, a combination of multiple. Again, I didn't really research any of these as true possibilities or not. All this info was found on Sub Pop's Website.

Does anyone know how often Bonnaroo artists also play Sasquatch? Costello isn't headlining there, so I would say that he is a reasonable headlining possibility, especially when Adam Zacks' Facebook is taken into consideration.
Also, does anyone know anything more about how much weight the MGMT rumor has?

Whoa. The lineup for Bonnaroo is quite solid. Sasquatch better have an amazing lineup, or I might just be going to Bonnaroo. Sure, I'd have to deal with annoying jam band fans (okay, sorry, not ALL jam band fans are annoying, but most are...), but it's a pretty sweet lineup otherwise and a 4 hour drive from Charleston is a lot easier than a 5 hour plane ride to Washington. Sasquatch is a great NW tradition and regardless of who plays, it is always an awesome time. That being said, after seeing the Bonnaroo lineup, if I lived in Charleston, I would definitely be at Bonnaroo before Sasquatch.

I spoke to 107.7 The End's DJ harms on the phone today and he told me that he knew of 'several' confirmed bands. However, the only one that he would tell me was Kings of Leon. I can't officially cite anything concrete, but there you have it.
This is my first post, but I've kept up with the entire thread.
