I think they could have squeezed Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness down to just one CD, but to this day it is still credited as their best album.
HG, have you ever listened to Machina/The Machines of God from beginning to end? Definitely one of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins album because it always has had an entirely different feel to it that they never reciprocated with any other album.

He even told us about his problem with "board-wrinkles" Prehistoric Sasquatch.

I just couldn't bring myself to indulge in Satellite Party; maybe I was listening to the wrong songs or something. Zwan was exactly the same. Even Smashing Pumpkins at End Fest 2007 when it was just Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin was still leaps and bounds better than anything Zwan ever did.

It was so fucking fun watching him when he took out the bottle of wine and started pouring it down people's throats.

Lesson learned: flip/mouth off a security guard and you have a chance of getting taken down. Next year try to be more respectful and you will go the weekend without incident. Exactly this.

The Devil and God is one of my favorite albums on earth. +1

That's good to hear. I will definitely have to make it a point to see them. The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me was on constant rotation in my library for a while and Sowing Season (Yeah) and Welcome to Bangkok were played repeatedly a lot of the times. It's amazing how they capture the sense of war/despair with Welcome to Bangkok and it's only an instrumental song.

They have to come up with some kind of selling point for those horrendous abominations.

I was so excited to see Butchers open for Brand New a couple of years ago but their sound was SOFA QUEEN terrible that it completely ruined their set I have wanted to catch a Brand New show for some time now. How are they live?

You guys know you want a couple! At least you can be 100% sure that you wouldn't loose anybody that was wearing one of them because they would be the only person in the crowd sporting it.

So what group of people tend to be the most problematic and you have to deal with most often? People on drugs? People that are belligerently drunk? Both?

Oh man, I loved Heligoland. Pray for Rain, Splitting the Atom and Atlas Air were absolutely amazing tracks plus the collaboration with Martina Topley-Bird (Babel, Psyche).
Mezzanine is by far my favorite Massive Attack album though. When they performed Risingson and Angel in 2010 it was so surreal and breathtaking to watch, not to mention the overall atmosphere all around the Sasquatch stage was, for lack of a better term, eerie. I can only hope to come across another performance like that and it will forever be in my top live shows that I've seen.
