You guys need to stop. It's the Sasquatch line-up page, not the obsess about quotation page. Can the 17th hurry up and get here? I want to know the actual line-up so I can start convincing all my friends to come along this year! funny story, I said something along those lines earlier and someone blew up on me. I am not trying to be mean to you just so you know, a lot of people on this blog are quite the overreactors, so just letting you know. What I really wanted to say was, I totally agree. I'm sick and tired of this blog, I just want to know who the lineup is. Furthermore, after my experience this year on this messageboard, I have promised that I won't even get involved until the 2010 lineup is posted 'cause it's useless to have try and have an opinion on this thing. Just 4 more days though!!

My god how is that an overreaction?? People on this board need to calm the fuck down, it's getting to be sooooo annoying. Like to the point that it makes me sick. Who wouldn't want Deerhoof to be there? And you're right, they are from San Francisco, my friend made a very convincing argument that they were from Seattle while I was writing the above note. Beyond they point though, maybe they'll be there, that'd be cool, I was just saying that it wasn't very logical. The double question mark = overreaction. What convincing argument did your friend make? "No dude, I know my shit way better than wikipedia"? My god, really?? You realize you're being kind of an asshole, right? The double question mark does not mean overreaction, it means that's how I generally use ?s and !s in conversational messaging. By the way, wikipedia is a horrible example of where to get information from, I mean seriously?? You're trying to convince me that wikipedia knows more than any other person?? Oh and by the way, people make mistakes all the time, you need to calm down. Oh, and I nor my friend smoke weed, so the conversation didn't go "no dude, I know my shit way better than wikipedia." For someone who's username is interstateeight, I expected you to be a lot cooler.

My bad, sorry to hurt your ego. Why is it that anyone who doesn't get their way on this message board goes apeshit on the person that made a comment about their post?? Get over yourself. Everyone goes "apeshit" because we're all a bunch of whiny Northwest babies! To be honest, I didn't think I was going apeshit, just defending my point. I like Deerhoof and they'd be cool to see. I think it's a fairly reasonable assumption that they could possibly be there. If I said anything egotistical, I must have missed it. I'm not trying to make enemies, I'm trying to make friends that I can party with at the campgrounds. Sorry if it sounded dick-headish in any way. Fair enough, sorry for any misunderstanding. The posting below you, on the other hand, is definitely "dick-headish" hahah.

Why does this make them more than likely?? You realize that this means they're heading SOUTH, right? flying from Mexico into SFO, then heading down towards LA..... wouldn't be surprised if they continued touring in Austin, then headed north. Yes, they're from Seattle, yes they have tour dates in May, but it just doesn't really make sense. Holy overreaction! While you are probably right, it's still certainly worth discussing. by the way, i don't think either of those bands are from seattle...deerhoof is from SF and cornelius is from japan. I called Cornelius over a month ago, which doesn't prove that I have any insider information, just mad internet searching skillz. I want to see Deerhoof though. Choo-choo-choo-choo-choo. My god how is that an overreaction?? People on this board need to calm the fuck down, it's getting to be sooooo annoying. Like to the point that it makes me sick. Deerhoof seem like a completely reasonable band for Sasquatch! and they happen to be touring in California mid-May, with no Northwest dates otherwise (as far as I've seen). As for my knowledge of Geography, yes, I have the ability to grasp a map and have sense of direction. I was simply stating, "Hey, look. A good band is on the West coast around the time of this festival. Maybe they will be there." I'm pretty sure the word "discussion" and the phrase "more than likely" have very different meanings. My bad, sorry to hurt your ego. Why is it that anyone who doesn't get their way on this message board goes apeshit on the person that made a comment about their post?? Get over yourself.

I'd add Deerhoof and Cornelius to the discussion. They just added tour dates................ 5-08 Mexico City, Mexico - Lunario 05-09 Guadalajara, Mexico - Festival De Mayo 05-12 San Francisco, California - The Fillmore 05-13 Santa Cruz, California - Rio Theater 05-14 Los Angeles, California - Mayan Theater 05-16 Pomona, California - The Glasshouse Why does this make them more than likely?? Mimicking Birds are soooo good!! They're currently touring with Modest Mouse, which made me think they wouldn't be there since MM opened last year?? I mean there's definitely the change they come on their own, I just think it's weird.... maybe MM will be a repeat as well?? I dunno just the whole Mimicking Birds thing throws me off a little, because I can totally see them coming, but who knows.... Ideas?

I think Portugal. The Man will probably be there. There's no Seattle date on their March tour, they are from the NW, they are playing Bonnaroo, and have been getting a lot of exposure lately. Anybody seen them live before? I made this same prediction a few pages back, I think on 25 or 26. I saw them live with Minus the Bear back in October or something, they're pretty good and definitely Sasquatch! material, Wookie stage for sure.

I'm definitely not excited about Kings of Leon at all. If they play Wookie, that'd be fine. They could take the time slot Ghostland had last year. My guess is that Fleet Foxes will be playing this year, considering they're from Seattle and they're playing Coachella.... My guess is Grizzly Bear will be there as well, along with really any other band that is showing up as repeats across the festival board (Coachella, Bonnaroo, etc). Band of Horses will probably be there because they're from the area, put out an album since the last Sasquatch!, and weren't there last year. Beirut will be in Europe in mid-May ) : Portugal. the Man is playing Bonnaroo and don't have any dates past April; since they're from the area also, they might be there. Okkervil River is another crossover, meh, as are the Ting Tings, Booker T, TV on the Radio, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I hope TV on the Radio plays Sasquatch! 'cause then there will be a chance we'll get the lineup sooner than it's supposed to be released (I'd be pissed if I were Bonnaroo).
On a side note, Built to Spill has zero tour dates.... period. Hopefully they'll stop by-- who doesn't love one of the best bands of all time?
OH! And I'm betting they'll have the National again because they were pooped to a smaller stage during Modest Mouse and not everyone knew they even played (it would be a similar situation to M.I.A. and the past two years...).

With other festivals having such a hard time booking bands I kind of have a feeling it might go back to 2 days this year. I hope not though Aren't the dates already set this year?? I mean, Memorial Day Weekend isn't too hard to figure out... I doubt they'll downsize, unless they're really hurting, in which case it would probably dwindle to nothing within a few years. Once you make the jump to three days, is there really any going back?? I doubt it. I wouldn't mind repeats either, that's kinda the whole thing.... every other year they have certain bands come back. I mean, I for one would not mind at all to see The Flaming Lips again....

If Pearl Jam did do squatch I could probably die happy (especially if they brought old neil young along.) Who ever thinks pearl jam is irrelevant is an idiot, plain and simple. They are living legends! Neil Young and Pearl Jam would be amazing. Separate performances and then a collaboration performance...o to dream. The Who and Pearl Jam would be spectacular too. I would love to see NIN make an appearance again, they always put on a great show. Maybe have Explosions in the sky play at sunset prior to NIN...I love dreaming Really hoping to see MURS, never seen him live before. Be fun to see Guns n Roses at Sasquatch. An Everclear reunion would be cool to see. Hopefully when they finally announce Coachella, there will be some good clues of possible performers. It's called Sasquatch! Music Festival, not SuckFest.
