Someone on the Coachella board is claiming that Bruno Mars will headline. I looked at his tour dates, and it does actually look pretty possible. Seriously Squamish? You haven't always had the best lineups (looking at you 2012) but at least it seemed like you were trying. Now it just seems like you turned on the radio for 5 minutes and picked the first 2 artists you heard (Bruno Mars and Arcade Fire).
This person also claimed Eminem would be the third headliner, which I would probably be ok with mostly because I doubt he will be at any other festivals I'm going to. It also seems like a really weird choice since this festival is geared somewhat towards families and few artists piss of suburban parents more than Eminem.

They say that, but that doesn't mean it will happen. Pemberton had marked out 10x10 spots (for 20,000 people), and that lasted all of a couple hours before it became a free for all.
Mailed wristbands will be a huge help since that was the main bottleneck upon check in last year.
This somewhat sucks. Since I have no idea if there is any difference I'm going to to for the circle campground since anyone who picks diamond will probably expect it to be somehow better. Yay for judging people.

Squamish fest lineup will be out Jan 29th. I wonder if they are intentionally putting it out earlier than Sasquatch and Pemberton or if they just happened to be ready. Pretty sure the lineup came out in March last year. They usually add bands later on, so maybe they just want to get the buzz started early in hope of helping sell twice as many tickets this year. squamishfestival.com/Doesn't seem like there will be a lineup release party, which is a shame since I enjoyed them in the past.

Last night my friend had an extra ticket to Grandmaster Flash so I went. Like a true hip hop artist he started playing 4 hours after the doors opened (~1am) and there were a bunch of local 'rap' artists on stage for hours beforehand basically doing hip hop karaoke which was horrible. I got drunk to make this tolerable.
When he finally came one it was fantastic. He played everything from Tupac to 99 Luft Balloons. I very much enjoyed his style of mixing, even though he told me to put my hands in the air about 700 times.

Man that hangout lineup has at least 6 past or potential Sasquatch headliners on it.
Also very happy to see Interpol on a lineup. They could switch sets with the National and half the people probably wouldn't even notice.

I'd pretty much shit myself if they somehow ended up on the Sasquatch lineup.

Isn't that place pretty small? They played a 10,000 person venue last time they came through Vancouver.

Try to list 20 US Summer festivals that could/would book Outkast that doesn't include Sasquatch. It's tough! I'm pretty bored. Coachella, Gov. Ball, Lola, ACL, Bonaroo, Outside Lands, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Bottle Rock, IHeartRadio, Life is Beautiful, Pitchfork, Rock the Bells (that could count as a lot of dates), Treasure Island, Voodoo, Virgin Festival, Ultra, SXSW, FYF, Fun Fun Fun Fest and Wakarusa. Some of those are a stretch and some are in the same city so it wouldn't be allowed for them to play both, but there are still a large amount of festivals out there that could book Outkast. I still think the chances are good for Sasquatch, I was just bored.

Right, I missed that one. Still pretty good guesses considering it was in October.

Queens of the Stone Age (headliner, May) The Knife (headliner, May) The Flaming Lips (headliner, May) Neutral Milk Hotel (headliner, July) Outkast (headliner, July) Skrillex (headliner, July) If this happens I'll be sad, 5/6 of those are at Coachella.

We have to be on the top 40 festivals in the world, easily. I doubt it. I don't know how you'd measure that, but attendance wise I'd be willing to bet there are at least 40 other festivals in the world with a higher attendance than Sasquatch that would have Outkast play. However, I still like our chances. It's pretty much a lock they will hit either Sasquatch, Pemberton or Squamish, and possibly more than one.

Yeah, 2/3 headliners and most of the rare 2nd line acts. Boards of Canada was the only big miss, and it is funny that they guessed Cults but The Cult turned out to be on there.

I will throw $100 towards this since my plan of getting all the weekend 1 tickets fell through. I believe he already has $250 in pledges.
Maybe we should not talk about this on the board and make it a surprise... opps.

Holy shit, I clicked buy tickets just for shits and giggles to see what would happen.
4 single day tickets for May 24 come to a grand total of:
Ticket Total $376.00 x 4 Service Total $94.00 x 4 Fedex Basic $14.95 Total Charge $1,894.95
A $94 service charge per ticket? I'm half tempted to buy them to see what would happen. My credit card would protect me and such, but it's not worth the hassle. Plus they may end up delivering four 4 day passes and technically that would be better than what I paid for.
Who the fuck falls for this shit?

KY is a maybe and fox didn't get tickets. I promised to buy him tickets if I got many extra weekend 1 tickets but it did not happen.
And I did not make other plans for Squamish, I always do the special camping because it is oh so worth it at that festival.

TV on the Radio has a song called 'Second Song'.
Both the words Daft and Punk have four words.
Justin Bieber has a song called Hold Tight, which is not Hang tight, so he is likely out.
Something something Men at Work.

They're only a week apart, it's not like the weather changes drastically over 7 days, you just had bad luck.

Did anyone say anything about Willie Nelson yet? He has April 1st and 12th in Cali and nothing else for the month.

Grabfab is like a crack dealer.
"First taste is free, but you gotta work for the rest!"
It has to be Phish. I'm pretty sure he used the 'big fish' line when he found about Pretty Lights (don't ask me how I remember that, my brain is weird) but this no place for logic.
