I was so disappointed that .gif didn't show up in my first post! I guess because of the hyphen I used, but I wasn't going to edit it out 'cause that would've just been forced.

Well, I'm not about to get into my first Internet squabble over sass quantities, so I guess I'll just have to agree to disagree.

They're very close, except one has a walker and the other doesn't. And one looks a little -er than the other.

If I didn't already take yesterday off work to go them, I'd be taking tonight off for the show for sure. Unfortunately, everyone at work knows where I was last night so I can't call in sick without major questioning and side-eyeing.

Davers you can probably get a ticket at the door. That's what my friend did last night. I think it only says sold out online cuz it's the day of the show.

So Naked and Famous were incredible last night! Shame they aren't on the festival circuit this year but, as they said last night, they've been touring since 2010 and this is the last stop of their tour, so it's been a long road for them. Anyone that can make it out to their show tonight, I highly suggest it since this will be the last one for a while to come. You could tell they really put some extra energy into it last night and my friends who'd seen them before said they blew away their last show. Guarantee tonight will be even crazier.

So my thoughts when he said he was a ticket broker was maybe he had some better deal on bulk tickets but I don't know if deals like that exist. Maybe he doesn't know what they're worth? Buddy, selling tickets is this guy's job, he knows exactly what they're worth. This is a sold out fest, there's absolutely zero chance of him taking a loss at this point, so any ticket he's selling is minimum 50% profit. minimum. If this is the attitude you're gonna approach buying tickets from a scalper with, I don't think you really deserve a whole bunch of strangers on the Internet warning you that you're about to be taken. So go ahead, give him your money for this deal that's too good to be true because all the signs seem to be "reasonable". Sounds like you've already made up your mind anyway, despite what we might say.

Haha, I can't wait to find out which one of yous is wyldestallions. That was a great read. And what made it even better is I read the whole thing in my buddy's voice - for anyone that met him at Coachella, Jon's voice - classic bro.

I loved at Coachella, Fox uttered that phrase once, "coconut scone," and like magic some kid in a Canucks jersey appeared right beside us cheering 'go canucks go'. He had no clue what we were actually saying.

That's a messed up story HG.
Kinda reminds me of this time when a bum asked my mom for spare change and they ended up getting in an argument in the middle of the street that resulted in them both taking off their shoes and shaking them at each other and then she threw twenty bucks at him and stormed off. Except your story was way more violent.

Nope, I bought tickets for him and Amon Tobin specifically to ease up any potential conflicts. Did you catch any of his set? I missed him at Sasquatch a couple years ago too, so I'm pretty excited to finally get to see him.

I'll be at that show too! And I've got Neon Indian on Saturday and thinking of doing Yukon Blonde on Friday... it's only been a week since Coachella but I'm already itching like crazy for the next show.

Oh, I just meant that I didn't know she doesn't have needle still. (at least, I'm assuming that's something I've missed.) I'm a few episodes behind so I've been lightly treading through this thread.

I think a square-off between him and Arya would be pretty stellar. She needs to get Needle back so she can stab him through his eyeballs. Woah, woah. Spoilers Pea.

If I do go though, I fully intend to win that campsite decorating contest.

I worry we may have set the precedent for sneaking in, as I remember by the last night they brought in those huge flood lights just 'cause of us. And they had security placed at each hole we'd found too. But I'm sure it would still be possible haha.
I guess I'm only so hesistant 'cause right now the full cost rides on me since Connor hasnt fully committed and I'm also in the mid-stages of planning a trip to San Fran and trying to see if I can swing Osheaga.

I'm still on the fence about it this year solely because of the cost of camping. It just feels like a huge jump in price and I'd definitley want to do the VIP camping after having experienced being able to stroll back and forth last year.
Davers, how fast do you think the camping/VIP camping are going to sell out?

How much do bands usually cost to book? Obviously we need to figure that out before we do any booking. It really depends on the band, and it can depend on the type of event. One of my friends booked Infected Mushroom to play his farm for a "houseparty" type event a couple of years ago and that cost him $10,000 for the evening, but I think he said they charge more if you're making money off the event.

Cbats is right, the getting of bands and even most of the sound/light stuff is pretty easy. The hard part is the permits, security and marketing. Depending on how big the event is going to be, and whether or not one of us owned the land it's being held on, a lot of permits would need to be obtained and that's what could really hinder the event.
