Quite happy with this schedule actually. Looks like I probably won't be seeing Woodkid, which is a bummer. Fatboy Slim probably won't be happening either, but from the sounds of his recent shows I won't be missing much.
Holy shit Saturday night though. What a gong show. PHARELL INTO SKRILL SKRILL!?!?!?! LETS DO THIS
I know you don't need any last minute conflicts, but I caught the Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) show in Portland tonight. He's got a rough time slot at Coachella, so I doubt many of you will attend. He had nine people on stage, and it was a modernized version of what Roxy Music sounded like 40 years ago, heavy with guitar solos, but also mixed with mellow songs the kids these days will hate. The saxophone player was a highlight, so attractive. She played the alto mostly, but the tenor on a couple songs, and the soprano on a couple more. When she wasn't blowing the reed, she was playing keyboards.
I know what it's like at 10pm at Coachella. I still love the Aquabats because of that time slot. If you are not 100% committed to another show then, and you find yourself standing in front of a sexy saxophone player, and a dude who looks like Bruce Buffer (LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE), stick around for a couple minutes. You'll catch something that will at least make your grandfather jealous.
I am actually pretty surprised that I am going to be able to catch Bryan Ferry. I don't care much for the Replacements or Girl Talk so I am definitely planning on being there. Sounds awesome!
