That's an expensive ticket for a single set. Yeah, but he plays "Pursuit of Happiness" twice so that's really only just over $150 per song. And Day n Night twice! Great value!

Damn, that's tough to hear. I tend to think a lot of the problem was crowd-based. I've never been to Coachella but if I were to judge the crowd from the people I know who went, I'd guess it's a much different atmosphere from Sasquatch. I don't know how much attention I'd pay to this article since it's a bit biased towards "EDM", but this was an interesting read about their performance Ehhh, I'm not really buying that article. Beck and Arcade Fire had no problems getting the mainstage going. Literally right before Outkast, Girl Talk and Chromeo had the crowds going insane. As for rap - Dr. Dre had no problems getting the candy kids going two years ago. So much so that they had to change Avicii's set time for weekend two because no one was there weekend 1. I don't blame the crowd, I blame Outkast. They were un-prepared and under rehearsed. Hopefully they will have their shit together by Sasquatch.

I don't know how much of the Outkast criticism actually matters to Sasquatch. The biggest issues with the performance looked like they were a little rusty and had a lot of trouble connecting with 60,000 people. They should be a little more well oiled by the time Sasquatch comes around and the crowd will be like a third of that size. Besides, they looked good on all of their deep cuts. It looked like casual fans were the one who struggled most because Andre didn't give a shit about Hey Ya. I don't know man, I'm a pretty big Outkast fan and I was with someone who has been waiting to see these guys for a decade. It straight up sucked. I was right up front for the start and they lost me after about 4 songs.

From your first-hand experience, why was Outkast regarded as such a bad performance? I watched a bit of their performance on the stream but ultimately decided against since they'll be at Sasquatch. Really hoping they were just shaking off the dust with Coachella.. It was a really bizarre show. No flow, no energy and it seemed that they didn't rehearse at all. Andre looked like he couldn't care less, had a really noticeable backing track and dropped a ton of lines. They came out banging with BOB and Gasoline Dreams, but it was all downhill from there. A lot of really slower more chill tunes that didn't really work. The worst part of the show was Andre doing a bunch of solo stuff from the Love Below and then bringing out Future for some reason to do a bunch of songs. It was a mess. They really lost the audience during Andre's section and never really recovered. Big Boi tried his damnedest, but the show was a massive disappointment.
