Damn ya'll. It's been a few years since I've been back but Sasquatch, this board and all the folks I met through here will always hold a special place in my heart.
It's been a trip.

Damn dudes, I thought for sure they would be there by now. If you don't see them Tuesday I will call them and we can do it will call style.
Yeah, considering I am camping with you, bringing them myself might have been the smart idea. Whoops.

Everyone is allowed in the bar, but the VIP's have a second deck where they can sit on lounge chairs and admire the view. The peasants are fenced off a bit, but the view is still incredible. I went and chilled there for a bit last year.

When I went to Bonnaroo in 2010 they had the World Cup matches showing on the stages in the morning. It was awesome. The crowd for the US vs England game was insane. The guys from Mumford and Sons were wasted in the crowd chirping the Americans. Good times.
If the Flames made the finals(ha!) you bet your ass I would find a way to watch it.

Friday
1. Chromeo - Best dance party of the weekend. I can't believe these guys continue to get better live. The new songs sounds AMAZING (especially "Jealous"). Great guest appearance by my boy Toro. Also, great to see my boy P-Thugg looking slim and trim! 2. HAIM (although technically I didn't see them AT Coachella, I saw them 4 days afterwards...I still consider it Coachella) - Holy moly these girls can shred. Amazing. Such a fun show. BASS ALL UP IN YO FACE! 3. Girl Talk - Crazy fun dance party. Fat Busta Rhymes cameo was a highlight. Dude was awesome.
Unfortunately that was about it for me Friday, as we missed most of Friday afternoon due to a medical emergency, and then the Friday night acts sucked balls (The Knife and Outkast).
Saturday
1. Future Islands - Awesome show. The band was great, the crowd was great. Really fun dance party. 2. SKRILL SKRILL - Dude flew around in a spaceship. With lasers. And fire. A$AP Rocky came out to do "Wild For The Night". It was awesome. 3. CHVRCHES - Weird that they were on the outdoor in the middle of the afternoon, but still a ton of fun. These guys are just the best. 4. Capital Cities - even though I saw them at Sasquatch, I was totally blown away by these guys. Awesome energy. The trumpet player is phenomenal. Would have been amazing if Andre made it out for Farah Fawcett Hair, but I don't think he gets out of bed for less than $100k these days. 5. Unlocking the Truth - Sure it's a novelty act, but it was awesome. The kids looked like they were having the time of their lives and it was a ton of fun. I got into a circle pit. METAL.
H/M - Lorde sounded great, but we couldn't get anywhere near her and with the screens down because of the storm it wasn't worth sticking around very long. Caught about 3 songs of Pet Shop Boys and they were great. Kid Cudi was turnt the hell up. Pharrell was the best karaoke show I've ever seen.
Sunday
1. Arcade Fire - These guys know how to put on a show. The new songs sounded great and the new percussionists add a ton of life to the older songs that I was worried were going to get a little stale. Debbie Harry sounded amazing (and looked amazing! She's 68!?!?!). The parade around the field with the Preservation Hall Band after the power was cut was a really special moment and a fantastic way to end the weekend. 2. Beck - Dude brought the funk. Totally did not see that coming. 3. Calvin Harris - Super fun dance party. I love main stage electronic acts. I guess this is the year I'm over the Sahara, only got in there once. 4. Preservation Hall Jazz Band - holy shit these old dudes are amazing. Such a fun set. The hot tuba solo was my favourite part. 5. Blood Orange - Brought the sexy back.

Yeah, like Blacksmile said, it will probably be a couple hundred small time Canadian bands.
I love Sled Island, but I am out of town for the weekend. Picked up a Killer Mike ticket for Thursday night and I will probably check out something Wednesday too.

I'm closer to ole' Goldbeard on this one. Love the Foo Fighters, pretty ambivalent towards QOTSA. Don't get me wrong, I think Songs for the Deaf is great and the new record is just fine...I've seen them live a couple times and they're aight. I'll probaly check a out a bit of them before getting turnt up at MAJA LAZA

RICK ROSS BAWS! June 16th at the BMO centre. His tour dates have him at the Gorge in June? The fuck is that? Summer Jam. I just saw it yesterday. He is there on Saturday with a bunch of dinguses. But, Friday has Ice Cube, Bone Thugs, E-40, and Too $hort. Tickets are only $50 and I actually considered getting one. If I didn't know it was going to be packed with Summer Jam crowd, I probably would have. Edit: What is the plural of dingus? Dingi? Oh shit, that looks hilarious! Ice Cube, Bone Thugs and Rick Ross!?!?!? Hell yeah! Too bad the douche nozzle Chris Brown is headlining.
