nothing is more off-topic in a thread called 'The Craft Beer Thread' than Coors. The number one selling beer in Alaska is Coors Light. It saddens me.

Let me remind you how things transpired:
Noob blasts other noobs for their redundant questions. Noob creates new thread for redundant question. Peatrick directs noob to camping website. I8 directs noob to threads answering these redundant questions. At this point, noob has 2 options: 1. Let the thread die and post his questions in the proper thread. 2. poop the thread by asking another redundant question Noob chooses the latter and is called out. Noob fires back. Noob put in his place. Noob takes it in stride and asks another question. Noob is met with a well-educated answer. BusItOut! Shoves a stick up his ass.

In all seriousness though, would anyone actually go to a school bus party at Sasquatch? Not necessarily anyone on this board, as I'm sure you're all sick of me and my n00b antics, but anyone in general? We're trying to plan a tour around it and it'd be nice to know if our four days would be better spend playin shows around seattle or something. Short Answer: I'd tour around Seattle if I were you. Long Answer: I have no idea who is organizing this for you, but they are doing a horrible job. Something of this scale needs to be brought to the festival organizer’s attention if this is going to be successful. One thing you must understand about the Gorge staff is that they can shut down anything they want, for whatever reason they want. They are a big fan of the word “liability”. Case & Point: Last year two staff members tried to shut down a homemade Slip ‘N Slide because they were worried someone would get hurt. This prompted one of the most effective arguments I have ever heard presented to the Gorge staff. “So does that mean you are liable if someone tripping on acid fell and smashed their face in?” This argument, coupled with the fact that Slip ‘N Sliders outnumbered the assholes by 8:1, caused the staff to eventually leave. I imagine something this large-scale would attract more than 2 assholes to shut it down. This takes a little more planning than, “Hey dude, you should show up and play a set in the campground for Sasquatch!” To answer your other question about whether anyone would show up: These parties may have been successful in the past, but that was due to a large population of non-festival-attending campers. Ending at 1:00am is shooting yourself in the foot. Even if the headliners end at 12:30am, campers need around 30 minutes to get back to their site, which is right around the time you will be ending. I could see this party working well Thursday night, but who knows how many people will be there by then. With the late start Friday, festival goers have the option of driving to the Gorge on Friday afternoon. If this does end up working out, do yourself a favor and get some security. I think it was the first or second night of Sasquatch ’09 that had a big party and the dance floor ended up on top of someone’s SUV. Someone with a sound system had set up shop under a canopy and attracted a relatively large crowd. Mob mentality fucked up that SUV. I never knew people could be so destructive while singing Sweet Caroline. If you have neighbors close to the scene, you may run a risk of damaging their property. You have exhausted your resources here on the board regarding this issue. We can, and will speculate that you have a 99% chance of having this shut down before you really even get going. If you want an answer that isn’t speculation, tell your organizer to contact the festival.

This probably sounds asinine but I would suggest Festival goers learn how to jump a car battery before going to the Gorge. More importantly, learn how to pop your hood. Last year on Tuesday morning a group of no less than five adolescents spent over 15 minutes trying to pop the hood to their parent’s car. As much as I enjoyed watching the group, they eventually caught my stare and before I could quickly look away I was asked to help them. I was a bit worried that this car’s hood was impenetrable. 15 seconds later I knew they were just dumbasses. I don't know if it's worth it, but this might be a decent add to the first post of the thread.

Thanks for all of the information, although the way in which you presented it (in a sarcastic tone that, without the body language or voice inflections of real-life sarcasm, loses all subtlety) seemed to me to be belittling. You picked up on that huh? That’s funny because I picked up on this statement: I know how annoying it is when n00bs start new topics that are already answered, so I checked and my situation appears to be unique for this year. Turns out you didn’t do any “checking” at all, but instead decided to sign up for the board, call out noobs for their asinine posts, then fall into line right after them. EDIT: Looking back, I think we should cut this guy some slack. I had no idea that the previous “Camping Per Person?” thread was so buried.

Apparently it's some big deal involving multiple school buses and a bunch of DJs, although I'm assuming we'll be done playing by 1am. Do they come collect you, then, after the day you've paid for? Will anyone be in the campground for this? With campers needing a festival ticket, wouldn't you expect them to be in the festival until 1 am?

Hey there. I know how annoying it is when n00bs start new topics that are already answered, so I checked and my situation appears to be unique for this year. I'm in a band. We were asked by a friend to play an on-campgrounds party, not associated with the official festival, but raging nonetheless. It would be an awesome opportunity for our band and a good time for everyone. Here's the catch: we needed tickets to the festival to go camping. And tickets are sold out. So I'm wondering if there's any way for us to get into the campgrounds without going to the festival? Would just buying a single-day pass work? Is there a special pass for just camping? Can just one person in the car have a festival pass and make it work? any answers would be much appreciated. Wow, that situation does sound unique! Not in any way similar to these situations: so, its per person this year? So I looked at all the sites and blogs that should have had this info but I couldn't find it. Will a one day ticket be enough for each person in my huge group to camp the whole weekend? So my friends and I have been slightly confused on camping, this being our first year going to Sasquatch and all. We plan on getting single day passes, most likely for Sunday and Monday. What days can we use the campsite? Are we allowed to come Saturday and set up then or do we only get it for the nights we hold the tickets to? Me and my friends would like to do the same thing. Is there any way to get concrete information on this? We would love to show up Saturday, camp, go Sunday, camp, go Monday, camp, and leave Tuesday. Will two single day tickets cover this, do the single day tickets include any camping??? I really don't want to end up lost in the middle of Washington with no where to sleep (plus I want to get in on the camping experience along with the festival). you do need some sort of ticket( either day pass or 4 day pass) to get in camping though right? people cant just come camp? or camp and try to buy tickets outside of the stage gate? i know last year people were selling day tickets all up and down the walkway to the entrance. stupid friends didnt get tickets. this seemed to sell out fast for this lineup. Gosh, I wish someone would answer these questions: They aren't going to start selling individual camping passes and then release some by-car ones later. I'm actually on board with camping per person, it'll save money if you get in a situation like I was last year---six people in two cars, so we had to get a second camping pass and I ended up paying for half it with one other guy. We don't want the extra 5000 people coming to hang out in the campground just to party. It causes overcrowding as well as health and safety issues. There are no camping passes, there are festival passes, which means you are paying for YOUR OWN ability to camp. If you have one person buy the 'discount pack' to get camping, then that one person is going to have access to the campground and you're not going to have anywhere to go when the show is over. The camping situation is perfectly clear, it's just different and people can't seem to wrap their heads around it. Lastly, this is a large-scale music festival and it is growing in popularity as well as in scope. Anticipate the price continuting to rise, every year. Anticipate them finding every way to get money out of you they possibly can. Anticipate taking it up the ass like a champ, or anticipate making other plans for Memorial Day Weekend, but please god please let the bitching about the camping passes end. This pretty much sums it up. Seriously, people: know what you're talking about. The camping details are written in (good enough) English on many websites (http://www.gorgecamping.com/, www.sasquatchfestival.com/#/gorge/camping) so just take a few minutes and read them. You might find answers to many of your questions. The wording is a little ambiguous at times, but the information is decipherable. Then again, we are overlooking the point Peatrick made above. This year, you can't camp without a ticket to the festival. Last year they had to fit 35,000 campers in a camp site made for 20,000. It's no wonder they crammed everyone in. This year, they should give much more space. I just want to update on my official response from info.sasquatch. A detailed response of, "yes." Camping Saturday night with a Sunday and Monday pass wont be an issue. Yes. In order to camp you must have a camping pass, and in order to have a camping pass you must have a festival ticket. This is what they are saying, anyway. What it tells me, though, is that if you show up with out a ticket you are taking a risk. I'll also say that, if you don't have a ticket, you have better odds showing up with a car full of people who do have tickets than ones that don't. For anyone interested in taking advantage of the normal "buy a ticket near the entrance" thing, I think that phenomenon will be drastically reduced this year by the introduction of wristbands. It will still exist but it will be different. Damn, this is so confusing! I wish someone would be more concise: THERE ARE NO CAMPING PASSES. BUYING FESTIVAL TICKETS GRANTS YOU ACCESS TO THE CAMPGROUND. YOU CAN NOT BUY CAMPING PASSES INDIVIDUALLY. YOU CAN NOT CAMP IF YOU ARE NOT ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL. YOU CAN NOT SPLIT THE PRICE OF CAMPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE. CAMPING IS BEING CHARGED ON AN INDIVIDUAL AND FAIR BASIS. And you're certainly not going to teach anyone a lesson by not buying a 'discount pack'. If ANYONE else has ANY more questions regarding this, please shove them up your ass because all of the answers are right there.
