To address your point more directly, Abominable, I 'shit all over' Bustopher's plan for the same reason I shit all over anyone who comes in here with half-baked ideas and just starts posting away willy-nilly: most of the time people don't even think about what they're posting, they're just posting to hear their brains rattle. If I get in there and say DUDE YOU SO DUMB WHY YOU DO STUFF SO DUMB, that poster has two options: get all pissy and decide to go to war with Gramma, or take a minute to marshall their handful of brain cells and actually expand on the idea and take the opportunity to use grown-up words to make us understand why it's worth any of our time or space on our board discussing it. Call it quality control. This tactic has worked just fine in the t-shirt thread, the glowstick thread, and dozens of other times. You'll notice the only people who get gigantic spiky pickles up their butts are people with just a couple dozen posts who haven't taken the time to familiarize themselves with the tone of this forum, as well as people from Montana who have spent their entire lives eighty parsecs away from the nearest gas station and have no concept of irony. What HG described is called trolling, NOT QUALITY CONTROL! Thank god HG blocked me, my only regret is not finding a way him to do so earlier. It's great that people seem to support HG on this board because it seems like this is about it for him, but I was sincere when I made the offer in the OP. It is not a "willy-nilly plan" and it has been hugely successful before. Like I said about the post count, I have not cut out enough time in my schedule to read every single post that HG or others have posted to put HG's rude manner in perspective, nor will I. If someone is trolling they deserve to be treated like trolls, regardless of their post count. This thread was expanding and moving forward normally before HG added his unneeded and unwanted input. Just like the advise that HG is posting for new posters to follow, it might be a good idea for him to "take a minute to marshall (his) handful of brain cells and actually expand on" the topics at hand. Thank you HG as this reading you say this was beautiful "CLEEEEEEEEEEECK" goodbye and good riddance! ;D Yours truly, The pooper bus driver

Here's a good rule of thumb: Me raggin' on you for being a big dumb bus head -- > joke based on board shit -- > ACCEPTABLE You raggin' on me for being unemployed or getting the shit kicked out of me in junior high -- > none of your god damn business -- > NOT ACCEPTABLE See how it works? Cool. Know it. Here's another good rule of thumb don't treat people like shit unless you expect to receive the same treatment. I work my ass off on putting together a good trip to Sasquatch every year and it's not funny when you consistently keep saying that it is a stupid idea from a stupid person. I personally thought that the other posters had a good sense of humor about it but you have just been an asshole. You were also a dick when that guy asked about dragging his band into the campsite to another bus party and you successfully chased him off the board. I'm not going to spend as much time on here as you but I'm also not going to be bullied away. If you continue to treat me like shit, expect the same in return except for the fact that you are an extremely easy target. People look to the official Sasquatch board to get information and you are extremely knowledgeable about music and drugs but anything positive that you contribute is diluted by your useless, belittling and demeaning posts on threads were you don't have anything to further the conversation. I can take a joke, the other people on here are really funny, you however take the ongoing harassment route instead and I don't appreciate it. (Posted from aboard the bus)

but I will never be bored enough to argue with a bus. Maybe you should just get bored enough to get a job or at least some way that you can contribute to society. The guy who got bullied growing up becoming a bully hiding behind a computer has become the cliche of this generation. You are right about the futility of an argument, you have way to much time to write novels on here about how pathetic you think it is to not contribute to every single thread, myself and others like me are too busy leading successful lives to keep up with your post count (which you should hide rather than show off because it just proves how pathetic you really are). I didn't want to start any arguments but you insist on being an unprovoked asshole over and over. Try doing what normal boarders on forums do and skip over a thread that you don't have anything to contribute to. This thread was started as a friendly offer of a safe fun ride to Sasquatch for people that might be in my area and I'd love to re-establish it thusly. Most of the folks on here seem knowledgeable and like they would be fun to be around so posting the offer here seemed like a good fit. The time I (don't) spend putting my $.02 on every thread is just my way of trying to show the rest of this board that I respect them enough not to waste their time (present post excluded, sorry) if I don't have anything to add. Mark Twain had it right in this matter so just like the signature, take these words to heart: "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt"

Hahaha cut, it, out!! Haha everyone sucks up to HG it's freaky!! He has the powah! Maybe I should quit my job, and spend 12 hours a day on this so I could earn that kind of power! ;D More importantly, IMHO NIN and Jane's Addiction were the best pair of bands to grace that stage consecutively in all the years I've been attending!

WHY DO WE TALK ABOUT FUKKIN BUSES SO DAMN MUCH ON THIS BOARD This thread is about taking a bus to Sasquatch. Can't speak to why buses would be mentioned elsewhere on this board. Feel free to not read/comment on this thread anymore if it's a problem though

If you pick up 40 people and bring em' down, make sure you bring that same number home. Home is where the heart is.Agreed, their hearts should be there so I think a one-way ride ought to do the trick.

Might be heading down to Havasu with the bus pulling the boat around spring break (March 12th-20th) won't help you get to Sasquatch, but it ought to be a decent time edit: Hank Hill said I don't have the ability to discern what constitutes a good time so I guess all I can do is hope

Sorry man, that would add 150 miles each way which would take a long time and burn LOTS of fuel. If you were a bit closer to I-90 it would be alot easier

And I usually love reading what you post, it just seems like Peter gibbons has been a catalyst to make everyone even a little more cruel to keep up. He has brought a new level of belittling and articulating how stupid someone is with extremely well thought out and cited bashings and I think it is going to discourage all posters if everyone tries to follow suit.

all i am saying is that if there is a post that shouldn't have been posted in the first place, it would be a much better use of time to direct a newbie to the correct post and be done with it. Doesn't have to be a moderator, could be the best/most active posters too!

It just bothers me that this has become their mission on the forum. I am on other forums and issues of multiple posts on one topic are usually dealt with quickly with a simple link to the correct thread and a lock on the erroneous thread by a moderator.

Having more than one post addressing the same thing is a very easy fix by any moderator on any forum, not cause to go on a mission to make sure that someone will never want to post again. You have been on this forum for a little over a year and have posted A LOT! I realize that, however I have been going to Sasquatch for a long time and know for a fact that what this guy was talking about can be a great time (we had a live DJ one of the nights last year and we had a blast).
P.S. Busshole sounds like a nice sub-title for me!

So just to get this straight, as a rule, all noobs need to be completely chastised now?
Short answer: Quit being dicks Long answer: We might as well encourage people to join this community that have such a passion for music. He didn't get asked to play a set at the main festival but he is willing to drag his gear all the way accross GC to play for free just to entertain people who might show. Yes the parties on the bus work quite well but your timing idea will only have you in front of the bus people who lack a 4-day pass so the audience will be alot smaller then if you started late (the gorgees didn't manage to shut our bus party down untill 5am 3 of 4 nights last year.) Reggie Watts responded to an email I sent him and he said he would like to come to our bus compound after his set and I think the gorgees will have an uphill battle trying to tell everyone that they should just be quiet and go to bed so at least if you play that night the powers that be will be quite busy. If you and your band are any good I might even ask you guys to drag all your stuff over to our buses afterwards!
Tsrdrum, thank you for posting and for the rest of you, if there are any threads on here that are so terrible that you can't justify responding DON'T RESPOND! Titles like Grandma and Rookie of the Year don't make you moderators and there is no need to devote your lives to making people feel stupid
