I'm holding onto hope that they're still going to drop a "holy shit" add for the Friday a la Prince style.

Rusty that is an amazing love story. My first date with my girlfriend was going to a show at a bar where it turned out the bartender was an old co-worker. Our first date ended up with us getting black out sloppy drunk. The only thing we can remember after the bar was watching Army of Darkness at my place, and I shit you not, arguing about pterodactyls.

Yeah that does sound pricey. Even though I'm old balls, my car rental for 7 days at Coachella is only costing me a little over $200.

Yay for rescuing dogs. Every now and then, the girl unit and I go down to LA or Mexico to help transport rescue dogs up here.

I have quite a few. Enough that in the event that I ever need to move I am fucked. This x1000. Moving a seasoned vinyl collection is the absolute worst thing ever. The girl friend and I finally got around to emptying and sorting our last box of vinyl last weekend..........we've been living there since June.

Fucking fuckity fuck fuck. My landlord wants to build a garage. In any other scenario I would be all for it, but he wants to use half of it to store his new midlife crisis car in the winter. That and the garage sounds like it's going to be about the same size as the house making us lose half of our yard which is one of the main reasons I love living there. I have two bigass dogs and I was going to make a garden to grow fresh veggies and herbs. Time to start looking for a new place to live in the summer. FUCK!

Unfotunately, that's the way the genre is. I've said it before on here and I'll say it again. In the EDM world, the single is king, followed by the EP, with the album a distant third. Witness that Skrillex won a grammy for an album with Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites which was technically an EP, not a full album. The good news is some artists do put out solid albums and once you discover them it's easy to continue exploring their work. They also tend to the the ones with some staying power, like the Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk. Very well put. I'll also add onto it a bit more from the aspect of a former DJ. I think the reason the single was and still is king (for now) was simply due to the medium of the music. It was all vinyl back in the day. It was big and it was expensive. DJ records typically held 2-4 tracks per record. There were also no CDJ's, no final scratch, serrato, abelton etc etc. You couldn't make an mp3 and then send it out Producers would make a track and then get it pressed onto a dubplate acetate record. They would then shop that record around to DJs to play and get the song out there. Then they would send it and get it pressed on vinyl for distribution. To the consumer a record would cost $10-$20 and a full album or EP could run as high as $100. So putting out full albums was a huge costs to both the artist (or label) and the consumer. So tracks would just get popped out a couple songs at a time. Now you're starting to see artists come out with more albums because it is much more convieniant to get the music out there to the market of listeners. DJs don't have to go to the record store every week to thumb through the new shipments of records. You can simply download music off beatport and other websites. Producers can easily send their new songs off to other performers and have the music market tested with ease before an actual release. Finally I think you'll start to see more albums simply because the genre is becoming more popular. Seeing artists like Skrillex and mau5 nominated for grammys proves that. Because of the increase of demand and the reduced amount of effort to create the music, artists will be pumping out more music and albums.

My girlfriend and I hate Valentine's Day.. We say I love you to each other every single day. We don't need some made up Hallmark holiday to validate our feelings.
Steak and BJ day is totally legit though........

Girlfriend and I were selling Jell-O shots in the afternoon on a couple of the days. Yellowshirts came by and asked about them and we said we were giving them away for free. We gave them a couple and they went along on their merry way. Honeybucket guys traded some honeybucket t-shirts for some as well.

I love that show! Diners, Drivers and Divers has definitely lost its appeal to me. Though, on every single trip I have made to America I have pre-scouted a Driver,Diner and Diver to go to during my stay. I've probably been to 10 places featured on the show and all except one of them were down right terrible (as was to be expected). You Gotta Eat Here seems to visit places with a nice balance between greasy and thoughtful foods. meow if they could only get Padma Lakshmi to host it... I was on a plane to Victoria and I was watching the first episode of that show. They just happened to be featuring a breakfast place in Victoria called John's Place (I think), that specialized in Eggs Bennidict. The lady friend and I went there for breakfast and they did happen to have a pretty damn good Eggs Benny.

I did the suntan bottle thing for Coachella and Sasquatch last year. It's fine as long as you wash the hell out of the bottles before hand.
