I found out Friday that I have torn my L5S1 in half. I have had two prior surgeries on the same disc. Its pinching my spinal cord when I bend just right causing me to randomly fall. I am not allowed to walk any more. So yeah. That's making plans of sasquatch fun. Last year I was recovering from surgery and could barely function and managed to pass a kidney stone driving to Sasquatch. I will make it. If I have to crawl. I don't want to be "that guy," but back injuries are something you want to ensure you rehab very carefully and properly. If you don't, that shit will bother you for the rest of your life. You may want to consider taking a pass this year.

Rentals will be cheaper out of LA. www.carrentals.comThis year for both weekends I'm saving over $200 rather than booking directly through the company sites.

Hi. Late to the thread. Speaking of a 911 "office worker". In Canada when you phone, the receptionist is from the U.S...has no idea where the fuck you are or any street names or areas of your town. They will make you wish you never called. I wish they were high. This statement is absolutely untrue. At work I'm in charge of someone's life and I drive a large vehicle. I don't get drug tested. You're a RT. Do you get drug tested? Breathing for someone is pretty damn important. Carry on.

Solution --> Don't get flu shots ***waits in the corner to be yelled at by shax*** A delayed fuck you! Actually I'm not that preachy when it comes to flu shots as long as people who don't get it aren't in contact with with immunocompromised people or quoting pseudoscience bullshit as an excuse not to. If I didn't work in healthcare, I probably wouldn't have ever got one until now... that H1N1 is scary shit. But anyone who works in healthcare and doesn't get the shot is a straight up asshole. Now if you said that you didn't believe in vaccinations against polio, measles, pertussis etc... I would probably punch you in the throat.

Sadly the 49ers fans who go to Candlestick need that fucking flyer. Every time I go there I get into a shouting match with dumbasses in my section who don't know when to cheer. They're just as loud on offense as they are on defense. Their typical answer is "I paid money for this seat so I can cheer when I want." That or the old age season ticket holders who get upset when you're standing up and getting loud.

Getting free tickets to see possibly the last ever performance of The Wall and having my mind completely blown with 80,000 other people. Not sure if it's because of the show or the hangover, but I can't think straight today.

Sadly the date falls right on the beginning of my work tour, otherwise I'd totally fly in for this.

There's a lot of fun acts on that lineup. I would love to go again this year but that would require me trying to get two days off work and I'm also going to France at the end of that month. Unless I win a contest, I don't think it's in the cards.

This whole thing is absolutely ridiculous. Disasters never really hit you until it happens to someone you know. I hope all of you guys are safe up there. Especially Shax. With his profession I know he's got a lot of stressful and potentially dangerous work ahead of him. I'm curious though, what caused the flooding? Just lots of rain or was it a result of a dam breaking or something along those lines? D'awwww thanks buddy. I actually don't work IN Calgary, but in a town about 15 minutes outside of it that isn't in a flood area. I don't start work till tomorrow, but we're all part of the same team so I imagine I'll be spending a lot of time in the city. I did pick up a shift in Calgary last night to help out. Luckily the Emergency Management Agency did a pretty great job over the last 24 hours evacuating people. Still no reports of any deaths or major injuries which is great. I was driving around checking out the river last night, and it's crazy how much it changed over the course of the night/morning. It was caused by a crazy amount of rain over the last couple of days coupled with the last of the spring run off. Calgary has two rivers in it. One cuts right through downtown and the other wraps around it. To put things in perspective... a river that is deemed safe to canoe in usually flows at 60 cubic meters per second. One of the rivers last night was flowing at over 1500 cubic meters per second and the other one was over 1000. This video pretty much sums up how bad it is. Super lucky to live in an area in Calgary that is safe from flooding. If anyone knows of anyone affected by this and is without a place to stay, hit me up.
