Big Rock's alright. Check out Elysian Brewing, Lagunitas Brewing, Stone Brewing, and Kona Brewing's Wailua Wheat. Canada is a bit behind in the craft brewing renaissance IMO, and I learned that by going down to the States so much in the last year. Trust me, there is a lot of great beer down south; better then Big Rock as far as I'm concerned. As for cheap beer, you'll find the Ice's (Busch or Natural Ice to be exact) to be the strongest for the money, but a lot of people here seem to be partial to Miller High Life. Thanks man! I will for sure check those out and drink my self into knowledge! And I guess Ice/Miller will be my late night beer unless there are any other suggestions! (PBR to be trendy maybe?) haha

Expensive Canadian Beer? Nah, its not expensive. I'm re-evaluating my options and I think I'll bring a 24 of good tasting beer and start out the nights with that, then move onto the cheaper American beer as the night progresses since it will all taste the same. Suggestions on good American beer for me to pick up? My God man. There is so much great American beer out there... May I ask what you consider to be "good Canadian beer" before I respond to your question? Keep in mind I am Canadian... I like all the Big Rock from Calgary mostly. It's one of my favorites.

Why would you want to bring expensive Canadian beer with you when there are so many awesome and cheaper choices in the US? The rule is in fact 24, but I suggest you save yourself some cash and bring 0... Expensive Canadian Beer? Nah, its not expensive. Does anyone know how much beer you can bring from Canada across the border into the US? I have been researching this for a LONG time and can't find a definite answer.
I think I have narrowed it down to 24 cans/bottles if I am in the US for more than 48 hours. I just want to know if anyone has had experience for this, cause I know I will need more than 24! I might have to pay duty if I'm bringing all this beer, so I am also wondering if anyone knows a general rule of thumb for calculating duty on Beer.
And to contribute to this thread:
Camp cooking is awesome (although easier with a fire). I'm bringing a gas stove and some pans to cook bacon, eggs, maple baked beans and toast every morning. Easy as shit to make and will cure a hangover! Who doesn't like bacon?! (I'm so Canadian sometimes, it hurts)
I'm also gonna cook up some chicken and toss it in a bowl of noodles, maybe saute some garlic and toss it with pasta. Damn, that will be tasting amazing when drunk at 3am.
Lunches are really only the thing I'm struggling with. Sandwiches, Powerbars, apples, water. That's what I am going with!

awesome! that map is sweet!
For the concert area I bet you can buy over priced booze, so how do you guys go about avoiding paying out your ass for a small buzz?
I'm thinking pre-drink, and somehow smuggle something into the concert area and just hope for the best?
also what time do the shows usually start and what time do the shows usually shut down for the night?

I've got a bunch of questions on Sasquatch and how I can go about having the most fun! The Sasquatch Site is down right now and I'm super excited so I just gotta ask these things now!
(I decided to post in "General Board" because the questions apply to everything)
This is my first Sasquatch Fesitval and I am super excited, but I need to know a couple of things before I head on over!
-How does the camping work with sites. Is it a giant feild and everyone parks their car next to their area they claim or is there a seperate parking lot to park and then a big field to camp in with everyone? Or is it like actual campsites? also is the Premier Camping thing worth it?
-My understanding is that the camping area and the Concert area are seperate and certain rules apply to the concert area (ie. food, alcohol etc) Is that correct? Or does the alcohol and food rule apply to everywhere onsite? also is the VIP parking worth it?
-What onsite amenities are there? Obviously washrooms and a general store are going to be there, but are there showers, a bunch of food cart things and the such? I bet there is a link for this question but I couldn't find it!
-Are there anythings that are not allowed in the campsite (save from the obvious like weapons, fireworks, drugs and all the fun stuff haha) like speakers, guitars, snacks etc.
-and finally any tips you guys have discovered that are super useful? What to bring, where to camp, who to avoid, when to start drink etc haha
any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
