I'm not saying that I'm worried about people cleaning up the glowsticks after the party. I'm just saying that they're petroleum products that can't be recycled due to their chemical content, which after an evening of fun will spend the next however long it takes for plastic to decompose in a landfill, and the chemicals in the glowstick do act as pollutants.
Anyways, I'm not trying to be preachy, I just wanted to share a little info so people can make their own decisions, and I'll probably pass on the Death Cab.

Just putting this out there, but glow sticks are massively wasteful.

I meant 4 out of the 5 main headliners. The only ones I haven't seen are the flaming lips. I don't think the Lips are billed as a headliner, but they basically are I suppose. It'll be interesting to see if they have a different slot than other subheads. Well, in that case I've seen all the headliners.

I've been digging a lot of new bands. I've really liked what I've heard from Head like a kite and Smith westerns especially. I've also never taken the time to listen to soft bulletin, but I can see this being a really good set from the Flaming Lips, and the album hasn't even sunk in yet.
I have faith in the organizers that they're going to bring in real talent, after all, it was Sasquatch 2009 that introduced me to one of my now favorites, Japandroids. I was disappointed with the headliners, specifically because I've seen 4/5's of them before. One of the bonuses of Sasquatch for me is that as a Canadian who doesn't live in Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal, I get to see bands that I would normally not get the chance to see (guess how many times the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have come to Edmonton, Alberta). That's not going to be the case this year, but I'll still have a real good time, and I'm also still crossing my fingers that Sasquatch miraculously pulls the Black Keys out of it's bag of tricks, but I guess hope springs eternal.

I was disappointed at first, but that was because I had high hopes for the headliners. But it's not really a matter of disliking the bands on the list, but just being unfamiliar with them. However I think Modest Mouse as a headliner is a huge mistake. Those guys are a studio band, not a live band.
