Wonk and womp are obsessed with headliners. Fuck headliners, give me that lineup.
AND The Rolling Stones? Who the hell wants to see a group of leather hand-bags attempt to play songs that were popular 20 fucking years ago??
The Rolling Stones had their FIRST hits in the mid sixties which is steadily approaching fifty years ago so you really need to learn how to count. Never mind the fact that those songs ( Satisfaction, to name just one) are still well known and loved by a very large number of people. Hand bags? Yeah sure, but don't discredit the staying power of bands as popular as the Stones and their music.
Now, that being said, I would take a super strong midrange of bands over some over the top headliner any day. I'm thinking of Sasquatch 2010 specifically where the headliners were somewhat modest (MMJ, Massive Attack, Ween) and the midrange was amazing (Broken Social Scene, LCD Soundsystem, etc). That sounds a lot more enjoyable to me than a lackluster undercard and Muse or Prince or something.
It does say these will be his last solo dates buuut since he is trying to get to places he's never played, central Washington would probably fit that bill... especially since there aren't any dates there... hmmm...
