I hope you guys are right about pink martini and wye oak and especially Wolf Parade, the potential WP/WO/Antlers conflict on the schedule as of now is a serious bummer

also, Wavves on the mainstage and Best Coast on the Yeti seems kind of odd, doesn't it? Not too weird when you consider that Wavves gets the opening bitch MS slot and Best Coast will headline Yeti

I'd club a baby seal if they'd just add TVOTR to Friday. ^THIS. I have hopes that they'll make a tour announcement very soon, they would fit perfectly on Friday

My initial reaction, like many of you, was disappointment, mostly directed at the top couple lines of the lineup. I share HG's distaste for Bright Eyes and I've seen DCFC and MM enough that neither can really excite me any more. I got my hopes up for at least one of Pixies, AC, Sufjan, QOTSA etc., and on first scan of the lineup it was the absence of any of these acts that struck me the most. It doesn't help that Iron and Wine and the Decemberists do nothing to excite me in the least.
Upon further inspection though, this year is just stacked with mid tier acts that I either have never seen or would love to see again, and Wilco and FL doing Soft Bulletin are HUGE for me. As are Wolf Parade, The Antlers, GBV, !!!, Robyn, Sleigh Bells, Surfer Blood, The Radio Dept, Sharon Van Etten, Yeasayer, DFA1979... the list goes on. Add to that bands like FF (who I would never pay to see in an arena setting but will be a lot of fun I'm sure) and the assortment of killer early day acts and I'm expecting this to be my best Sasquatch yet. And while I'm not particularly a fan of either Ratatat or Bassnectar, I think late night sets from both have the potential to be A LOT of fun. Basically all I really want at this point is a couple more small/medium-ish acts to fill out Friday and I'll be incredibly happy.

Foo Fighters are headlining at Lolla, as well as Eminem and Muse Hahaha oh man that's terrible, thanks for making me feel way better about not being able to make it out there this year

When was everyone thinking GBV were gonna play? Hoping for Bigfoot closer. I still have the schedule up, so for those who can't access it yet: Friday is only six bands on two stages. Main is Bronx>DFA>Foo and BF is SmithWesterns>RivalSchools>Against Me. I can answer any questions about stages/placement if it's still not up for you guys.

Fuck me, the stage situations suck. ^This. Everything I had hoped for stage-wise when I first looked at the lineup they pretty much did the opposite. Particularly GBV and Wolf Parade getting early-mid afternoon Mainstage slots and not closing out Bigfoot like they should

so that lineup that was posted by that shhhh person. why wouldnt it be feasible? too many headliners on it? where? Foo Fighters/Pixies/Arcade Fire/Kanye West/The Postal Service Plus Phoenix + The Black Keys AND Chemical Brothers? Not that it wouldn't be awesome if it was true, but really?

I just have to say. All I want outta this Sasquatch is Sufjan Stevens leading into a Pixies headlining set. That's what I want, I could hate every other band on the bill and be happy if that happened. Are you listening God, you ridiculous asshole? ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME? Fuckin' U.F.O.s over the Dome of the Rock; all's I fucking want is Sufjan --> Pixies. This would make me die happy. As long as we're dreaming, Wolf Parade > TNP > Sufjan > Pixies would just destroy me

Man, I'm not sure what this thread is about then. This is the RUMORS thread, the guy clearly knew what he was talking about last year, and if the general attitude is to distrust ANYBODY claiming to know the lineup and just wait until it's actually announced, then why is anyone still here? Look, you clearly mean well, and your 7 posts indicate that you're new here, so I'm not gonna do the usual "all caps/obscenities rant" post at you. Just skim the first few pages. Get a feel for what we're after: rumors based on something legitimate. Yeah that makes sense. Fair enough, no hard feelings. Nervous anticipation / high tension, too much caffeine for me today, etc etc..

Okay, so the "two from 2005, two from 2008" thing is really fucking with me right now. Is this a Modest Mouse guarantee, plus Flips plus Pixies OR Wilco, or is anyone else reading/hoping this is an implication that one night will be a double bill with MM>one of the other three, like Pavement>MA or NIN/JA? I just reeeeaaallly can't comprehended MM actually taking full on headlining duties one night It's nothing. Stop talking about it. Please. Man, I'm not sure what this thread is about then. " There is an Arcade Fire thread on here somewhere, but just listen to (Antichrist Television Blues) off Neon Bible. It may not change your mind, but it at least ups the energy level a bit." So you know what I'm talking about when I say they sound like they have zero energy/enthusiasm? Yes. I'm a big fan, but I can totally understand that as a criticism. That song I recommended is about as close as they get to high energy playing, along with Month of May off the new album, which might be another access point. I'd like to think that if you can get into those tracks then the rest of their catalog might become a little more appealing. But if you still think they're dreary after that, you're probably out of luck.

On a side note can someone PLEASE enlighten me as to what is so fuckin great about Arcade Fire? I've been trying like CRAZY to like them, but maybe I haven't listened to the right song/album. I'm trying to keep an open mind so don't hate on me, but they play with the energy of corpses. There is an Arcade Fire thread on here somewhere, but just listen to (Antichrist Television Blues) off Neon Bible. It may not change your mind, but it at least ups the energy level a bit.

Taken from Superfiction over at the Coachella board who works for The End and is a reliable source of info over there and put here because it's gotta go somewhere:
"i just saw the lineup neener neener neener. its good. like really solid. not as good as last year IMO. but there are some nice surprises. no reunions or anything. but some fun stuff i didnt expect"
Makes me feel pretty comfortable, but pretty much eliminates the possibility of any surprising big name headliner.

Damn. Hoping for Sufjan, Battles, EITS, AC, Lindstrom, Warpaint, plus Das Racist would give us the same number as last year.
I'll always regret missing Battles for Flight of the Conchords in 08, heard they were phenomenal

No kidding. t's a fucking masterpiece of a lineup and the fact that the best we can hope for is like, a handful of shared bands is making me way more depressed than it should.
