deerhoof? There on the play list but i see them no where on the lineup. It would fit into their tour schedule so can anyone clarify? How long have they been on the playlist? They'd be a fantastic late addition.

I would really like to see Horse Feathers live, and I wish they weren't playing during Grizzly Bear's set.

This is from a recent LA Monotonix show. That's me in the bottom left corner of the picture. It was really a mind-blowingly fun and energetic show. I just wanted to confirm for the board how great they are live.

I think Monday is the best day for music.
Explosions in the Sky, Girl Talk, Fleet Foxes, Gogol Bordello, Monotonix, Grizzly Bear, Black Moth Super Rainbow.
+ Dance tent during Ben Harper means from morning to evening I'll be listening to great music.

Bon Iver didn't make a lot of sense closing out the Wookie anyway. Cough, cough. But no seriously the gf gives me such shit for bashing this thread so hard in the beginning and yet on all our drunken nights pulling it up for an enthused and speculative planning of Sasquatch. And I hope Mos Def stays the headliner of Wookie. This is my tentative schedule based on a tentative schedule: 10:00 Dance tent 8:15 Yeah Yeah Yeahs over to 8:45 Mos Def 6:50 Decembrists over to 7:15 Bon Iver 5:25 Animal Collective 4:20 Devotchka 4:45 King Khan & The Shrines (woa just realized this conflict - - SUCKS) 3:15 M. Ward (sorry Shearwater) 2:10 Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele (sorry Passion Pit) 12:55 Gaslight Anthem 12:30 Owl City Sunday 10:00 Dance tent 8:00 NIN (sucks to miss Of Montreal) 6:35 TV on the Radio (definitely toughest decision) 5:10 Murder City Devils 4:45 Wrens (actually an easy choice for me) 3:00 Calexico (Sorry St. Vincent) 2:00 Walkmen 1:30 Hockey Monday 9:00 Dance tent 8:30 Explosions in the Sky 7:00 Girl Talk (Sorry, Beach House) 6:05 Fleet Foxes (Sorry, Blitzen) 4:40 Gogol Bordello 3:30 Santigold 3:35 Montonix 3:15 Horse Feathers (undecided! seeing Monotonix April 10 so not sure if I want to skip the other two, whom I like, for seeing them again. Will know April 10) 2:10 Grizzly Bear 1:25 Black Moth Super Rainbow

I was at Animal Collective's show at the Henry Fonda last Thursday. It sold out. The one the next day at the Troubadour sold out as well. No one was bored from what I could tell. If you live in LA you know it's a special moment when the whole crowd is into it.
The light show was a very minimal part of the performance.
The planning that goes into their album structuring is present in the live shows. It's a cumulative experience, and if you stick with them the whole way through it's most rewarding. Even aside from matters of musical taste this aspect is offputting to people who consider that level of control interfering or obstructive, or tedious, and prefer the spontaneity and visceral energy of other shows, mostly rock shows. It's mostly obstinate rock fans that would think this, I would guess.
Not that an Animal Collective show is cerebral or high-culture, because it's not. And not that it's not energetic. It's completely thrilling, but only when it wants to be, because it's other things too. That's what I'm saying. It's a different kind of show, and some dig it and some don't.
If you don't, fuck it. Don't stand around waiting to get it. Check out King Khan, or check out Animal Collective and then head to King Khan. I'll definitely be at King Khan afterward, by the way.

If you're right the insults aren't really necessary. My whole point was that you're pulling this shit out of your ass, which you've cemented for everyone, so chill on the 'insults' already. Dig and dug, douche. Chill the fuck out and let your annoying thread drown until it needs revitalization.

Devotchka has moved to Sunday.
Awesome because that means less chance of a conflict against one of the great Saturday bands. Unless they're against TV on the Radio!

I know you've committed yourself to retardation, but wait and see.

And maybe update your dumb thread when there's some real data, asshole.

If they add anybody half-decent-to-great on Sunday or Monday it's going to make this the best line-up there is.
I was glancing at the Bonnaroo line-up, incidentally, and the Sasquatch line-up, headliners excluded, destroys them band-to-band. I'm 90% sure Adam spent all his money getting all the great under-the-radar acts and compromised for some truly radio friendly headliners. Which, who gives a fuck? I'd rather have 15 great non-headliners than one big name headliner who doesn't blow my mind. Right?
The more I think about it, the more I get excited.
One more great band on Sunday and Monday and I'm completely sold. If not, I'm still stoked.

And why the hell are you putting obviously in quotes? I'm not 'sure' if 'that' is really a 'big' deal.

It's just obviously a fucking stupid lead-in to any kind of headliner.

He has Bon Iver headlining the Wookie stage. It's obviously him guessing.

I guess the poster wanted to make the thread and will update it with edits later on?
Right now this thread is just annoying.
P.S. I hope the schedule conflicts don't suck.
