9 years Sasquatch 3 years Langerado 2 years Outside Lands 2 Years Rothbury 2 Years Vegoose 1 Year Wakarusa 1 year Jamcruise 1 year Rock The Bells (original)
I was not trying to bash on Sasquatch. I love my homestate festival. Just feel like it has been stalling in development for the past couple years. Other festies are becoming superior to squatch in their first few years. Zacks needs to secure a big act such as Radiohead, Daft Punk or Soundgarden for the 10th anniversary. I don't see any signs of him getting that big one we need to takeover coachellas supremecy on west coast. I'm very passionate about the gorge. It's where I saw my first show. I want to see it become bigger than it already is..

Check out this lineup so far.. Snowchella Ya hosers! festival-outlook.consequenceofsound.net/fests/view/464/snowball-festivalfriendly destroyer: I've been to over 25 major music fests in the USA.. Not to mention others outside the states.. Have been going to Sasquatch for a longggg time.. I have witnessed many festivals & think Sasquatch has stalled in it's development.. Look at snowball fest for example.. It's their 1st year & already they destroy squatch.. lumpy: all 10 of your comments could be lumped into 1 comment.. And I was making a dumb joke with whole grandma/gramma thing.. Doochie grandmother: go paddle boating or do something athletic.. Being a message board troll won't help your fast food gut.. Just a reminder.. Grandmother

I guess it's a simple difference in opinion that sets us apart..
You all would rather spend your Memorial Weekend with a bunch of foreigners.. You would rather watch music that does not translate very good to a live setting..
I would rather spend my holiday with Americans.. I would rather watch music that translates & is meant for a live setting..
Ohhh and to all you that knock on the hippies: Who do you think brings your party supplies for that weekend?
Certainly not the Canadians that go home on Monday and make the last day of our great northwest festival a ghost fest.. Free tickets.. Trash piled high.. Greening sucks with live nation.. They take your $$ but won't properly dispose of waste & recyclables..

Once again you fail to get the point Gramma...
Local Artist's!?!? Tell me which of the Artist's at Wakarusa are local to that area besides Mountain Sprout..
How many crappy local artist's will be at Sasquatch this year? A lot..
I have been going to Sasquatch since it's inception & plan on going to it forever.. I also go to 3-4 other festivals each year & have a pretty good idea as to what works.. Adding some non-indie artist's would be great for Sasquatch.. Think of when My Morning Jacket last year (headlining waka this year).. I heard more people say that they liked a jam headliner than ever before.. Think Thievery Corporation & Ghostland Observatory (prepped with new grade A light show) wouldn't be a great fit this year for a late night outdoor party..
Here is the leak on about half of what we will see this year at Sasquatch's big 10th Anniversary..
Foo Fighters * Arcade Fire * Pixies * Iron & Wine * Bright Eyes * The Decemberists * Cold War Kids * Fleet Foxes * Wolf Parade * Chromeo * Matt & Kim * Sleigh Bells * Neon Indian * Best Coast * Wavves * Warpaint * Twin Shadow * Das Racist * Foster the People * Fitz and The Tantrums * The Moondoggies Source*
Pretty Weak imho.. Hopefully that does it for you..

The Wakarusa lineup is one of the best festival lineup's since Rothbury '08 & '09 which I attended.. I made the long trek to Waka last year & it was the hottest ever, 102F with 80-90 Humidity. This festival is great & all about late night, with shows going on until 4am every night on multiple stages (4 nights). This is one of the things Sasquatch is missing.
If you took the lineup's that Wakarusa Staff put's together each year & combined it with The Gorge site you would have the #1 festival in the U.S. Bar Freaking None!
That's right Adam Zacks: When you go after all Indie & Alternative Rock Headliners. You are catering to canadian hipsters. Which is ok if the fest was in Canada.. Bring in more eclectic groups & maybe Sasquatch could top Coachella as being the top festie on the Left Coast..
Sasquatch has been labled as an Indie festival and is right up there with the Picthfork music festival as top Indie fest. Let's break out of our Minor League Festival Shell & move up to the Big Leagues.
One of you said they hadn't heard of most of the bands in the Wakarusa Lineup.. Well, you must not be a fan of live music.. That is one of the best lineup's any festie has had to offer in the past 5 years.. That is, as far as live music is concerned. You must be the type of person that just listen's to everyone's album & doesn't take into account that they may sound even better live. Go see some live shows..
Wakarusa 2011 Lineup Highlights: STS9 Thievery Corporation (Known for great live performances) Bassnectar (Best Dubstep in the US) Umphrey's McGee (Chicago Jam/Rock at it's Finest) Modeselektor (Thom Yorke's Fav. Artist) Shpongle Hallucinogen Lotus (Best Jamtronica show going right now..) New Deal Skrillex JJ Grey & Mofro (Swampy Blues for the Soul) Dark Star Orchestra Trombone Shortly & Orleans Avenue (Best Brass of the Festie Circuit) Perpetual Groove Cornmeal (Chicago Bluegrass) EOTO (Best Live Electric Act Out There) Beats Antique (Belly Dancing Music) Stanton Warriors Big Gigantic (Voted Best New Electronic Act & Great Sax player) Here Come The Mummies (Awesome Comedy Funk) Ott Two Fresh Resident Anti-Hero (From Washington State)
