Just mailed my mix today. Some lucky Canadian should be getting theirs shortly. No explanation to the tracklisting, but it should be pretty easy to figure out. You've been warned though... Kinda cheesy!
By the way, it only cost $2.27US to ship to Canada! And filling out the customs form to send was rather quick and easy. Just for those that were curious.

I promise you I won't be too impressed to yell WRONG KID DIED. And I have no reservations about messin' with a bunch of wine-drunk teenage girls in skinny jeans. I'm just glad Iron & Wine are playing the mainstage now, so I don't have to miss the chant!

I'm afraid to listen to any other albums by them other than "Is This It?" because I just want the other 3 to be 3 copies of Is This It? and I feel I will be disappointed. Lol. To be honest, that is kind of what I was hoping for with Angels... I don't think anything will top "Is this it?". There are some similarities, but it's for the most part a little more synth-y and the vocals are more expansive in range.

Nothing can be as retarded as my theme...some of the songs are also a little retarded... But I'm expecting it to be taken with a grain of salt:)

Theres a chance that most (if not all) of my songs are fairly well known... But they fit really well with the theme. There is just a few quiet tracks that I would like to make a little louder...

I actually checked my itunes to see if there was one called Romantic Nights too. There wasn't. I just assumed you had a song I didn't. haha How about "better of dead"? I didn't realize there was yet another song that wasn't on the album or Heads Up EP floating around on Itunes... EDIT: nevermind. I guess it's on the remix album as the first track. can't find that Romantic Rights EP anywhere on itunes though

Will probably have mine sent out next Friday. It's a little cheesy, but a fun theme! Please don't hate me person who is getting this. By the way, what kind of program are you guys using to adjust the volume on the tracks? It seems to be a constant problem with my mixes.

I really like the new Strokes album. +1. The only other album I've heard is "Is This It?"... This sound way different, but I really like it!

I don't get into their music as much as 10 years ago, but it's a big show in Missoula so hell yeah I'm going. It's not like we get very many big shows up here. Looks like a pretty good production too. Disturbed is actually pretty entertaining live, considering that their albums get a little boring after 3-4 songs. I Saw them last year at the Uproar Festival...I was also pretty drunk.

I must ask. Have you seen "Doing Time On Maple Drive", "Peggy Sue Got Married", "Rubberface", "The Dead Pool", "Earth Girls Are Easy", "Simon Birch" or "I Love You, Phillip Morris"? when it comes to Jim Carrey, 'Once Bitten' is where it's at. IMO his best 80's roll right there.

I've self proclaimed myself as one of Jim Carrey's biggest fans. Haters goin' hate, I know. There are still a few movies of his I haven't seen, especially from his earlier career, but I thought I've at least heard of all of them. That said, WHY haven't I heard of this movie yet?! It looks dreadfully delightful. Haha! It's funny that you mention this, because I am Jim Carrey's biggest fan. Yeah, I have a massive Jim Carrey collection (just a few more dvds for it to be complete!). Anyways, I discovered this little gem a few years back searching through a $5 dvd bin at Walmart. Really boring... Never finished it since. I must ask. Have you seen "Doing Time On Maple Drive", "Peggy Sue Got Married", "Rubberface", "The Dead Pool", "Earth Girls Are Easy", "Simon Birch" or "I Love You, Phillip Morris"?

OK folks. They just announced the Foo Fighters and Motorhead to play Missoula, MT on Thursday May 26th. Maybe loud Friday just got a little louder. Maybe I just found a reason to sell my Friday ticket. Are there any other dates that you can see? Everywhere I look has a few U.S. shows but nothing in Missoula. It's on the main FF site now... Foo Fighters/Motorhead/Biffy Clyro. We'd totally be getting stiffed if we got Biffy and no Motorhead!

Talk everything Record Store Day here.
The 3rd annual event takes place on April 16th across various independent record stores around the world. It's also the one day out of the year that I end up spending 100+ dollars on limited/rare releases. Last year was such a great time seeing Minus The Bear perform for free at Sonic Boom Records in Capitol Hill.
Anyways, what sort of releases are some of you looking forward to? What stores/ In-store performances will you be attending?
I'm personally looking forward to the following (so far):
Deftones - covers LP Foo Fighters - Medium Rare (covers vinyl) Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues (early release on vinyl only?)
I'm sure there is more to add here as more releases get announced in the near future.
Also, looking forward to a in store performance with The Head And The Heart at Sonic Boom records in Ballard...
Discuss!
