Some big Thank Yous to random people over the weekend! First to the boys who helped me blow up my inflatable dolphin at Chromeo. Second the biggest thank you to the nicest guy EVER who let me wear his shoes on the walk back to camp after I lost mine at flaming lips and limped around barefoot for the next couple hours. Finally thank you to the awesome couple who helped us push start my VW van Little Miss Sunshine style after the starter broke. Best people EVER at Sasquatch!

I thought it was a bit of a let down too. They blew my mind the last time I saw them and I was expecting more of the same this time. Although I did get to touch Wayne Coyne in the giant ball, which was pretty awesome.

Just bought another pass for a friend. Thanks for the tip! Saved her a bunch of hassle on craigslist.

we saw some folks last year who somehow fashioned about 5 shot glasses to a snow ski and simultaniously took them by lifting the ski to thier mouth. We saw some dudes doing that right after They Might Be Giants performed at the Sasquatch stage. Brilliant idea! A hockey stick works too. Any you can give it the clever name of "slapshot"

I would have impulse-bought those christmas tent lights for sure. No way I could have restrained myself. In fact if you had bought them you probably could have sold them to me at a huge mark-up after a couple drinks at sasquatch.

It does get quite cold at night. Bring layers. Leggings are a good idea. They are warm and take up next to no room in your bag. They also can be put on under your dress in a fairly public area, which is a good thing, because trying to change a complete set of clothes in a honeybucket in the dark is less than ideal.

The schedule isn't released until much later. Usually early May. Looking back at last year I think it was around May 10th.

I come from Vancouver Island, and despite obsessively rechecking to make sure I have it, I always feel a moment of blind panic the second the ferry leaves, thinking somehow I forgot it and now it's too late. It would be awful to get to the border without it.

I have a particularly strong hate on for scalpers at the moment, but I think pretending to be a scalper may rank even lower in my books. Douchebag.

Also, thank you for the reality check. I almost had myself convinced that paying 400+ bucks for a 300 square foot patch of field wasn't THAT unreasonable, I needed someone to tell me that it was idiotic. MUCH appreciated!

I8- just reread your post and realized 700 was a total amount. My bad.

Thank you guys for the advice. I8- no, I'm not willing to spend 700 on a scalper camping pass. I wish. Might have split a $400 ticket with friends, or tried to find someone on the Coachella board to go in on it with but camping passes seem to be getting more expensive by the minute and are easily 600-700 now. Now I'm PMing coachella boarders who are offering to share their site in exchange for cash/a ride etc. If I'm going to go all the way there I think I want to camp on site and have the whole experience. If it doesn't work out I might just say forget it and be glad I bought my 'all-inclusive' Sasquatch pass good and early.

That's right Adam Zacks: When you go after all Indie & Alternative Rock Headliners. You are catering to canadian hipsters. Which is ok if the fest was in Canada.. The fest may not be IN Canada, but luckily for Canadian hipsters it is close to Canada. Thanks Adam Zacks, for not hosting this festival in Arkansas!

I was hoping some of you guys who have been to Coachella before could give me some advice. I've been looking on the Coachella board, but I'm finding that board is kind of overwhelming. A friend just asked me to go to coachella with her. However, she asked me after camping was already sold out, and now a $75 camping ticket is selling for 400+ on ebay. I always consider sasquatch the best weekend of my year, and I have never been to another major camping festival. My first reaction was to buy my coachella ticket anyways, without having camping and just blindly assume that everything will work out fine. However, we live in BC, and my friend feels that it is a little too much money to spend and too far to go with no idea where we will stay. For anyone who has gone before, is camping on-site at coachella the same kind of experience as sasquatch? (as in worth it) Would I be better off to buy a hugely inflated camping pass and find people to split it with, or try to find other nearby camping? Any guesses on if scalper camping passes will increase or decrease in price based on previous years? Sorry, I know this would be better written on the coachella board, but I was hoping to hear what you guys think. Thanks.

I never feel the real lack of personal hygiene at sasquatch until I am on the ferry going home, and realize that pretty much everyone around me has showered sometime in the last 4-5 days, and I have not. Or in last year's case, spending an hour and a half at the border trying to convince the border patrol that I am not smuggling drugs, while they did through my dirty laundry.

Thanks for starting this thread Catherine. I think it's a great idea. My 1 'girly' tip would be to pick up a $10 camp solar shower before the festival. I have never used the real showers at Sasquatch. Lineups are too long. Between a camp shower and a healthy supply of baby wipes you can save yourself much time and frustration trying to shower.
