I emailed Yo La, will report back if they reply. Most people don't email back so I tend to think the responses are genuine when they do, especially when they have as much info as that Portishead one did. I'd feel definitely if it was just a one word no or something like that. Last year between Roo/Sasquatch I don't think I got any responses that didn't match up when the lineup came out.
I see you guys have it up on your front page as rumored already but anyways it appears that Atlas Genius is confirmed.

Very sorry to report this one, guys.
Regarding Portishead:
Sasha.
Neither...unfortunately...
And no plans to play any where in North America at least for the first 1/2 of the year.

Anyone booked by windish is no longer a source of info for me haha. I'm pretending to be a pregnant lady looking for my last fest to go to before giving birth and I guess I emailed a few too many agents there haha.

No Electric Six. Also appears that Passion Pit is out. I asked about Roo or Sasquatch in regards to Passion and the guy said he isn't allowed to announce anything but suggested I go to Bonnaroo.

Hey all,
A few of you may remember that I sent out a bunch of emails last year to booking agents to see if I could find out who was and wasn't playing. I'm doing the same right now and will let you know the responses I get. I found out Pretty Lights last year so there is a chance of scoring someone high on the lineup, plus I should be able to rule out lots of people. If you have requests for people to contact I may be able to fulfill them.
I was asking this for Bonnaroo mostly, and I know it's zero surprise to anyone, but Wild Flag is out. More to come.
Happy festival!

I found out about them from you guys. I've just been listening to Youtube stuff but really like it so far. Floating in Space and Soul on Fire are my two favorites so far. Any recommendation on an album?

I'll be cuddling my pillow tonight, but I'm okay with that. Hope some of y'all get to spend your night with someone great. Good luck to all couples! For us single people, there are always Craigslist hookups, choke fantasies, and medically induced comas until February 15th.

I wrote about my experiences at Bonnaroo that I think you guys will find interesting: gabfrab.wordpress.com/2012/02/14/bonnaroo-art-is-not-cum/"We danced to bands with tens of thousands of other people. Sang along to songs we knew and more we didn’t. In the darkness, hundreds of glowsticks streaked the air like tracer shots in war. Giant inflatables bounced over dozens of light sabers pointed skyward. Stuffed animals impaled on sticks danced above the hot crowds, puppeted by someone just given ecstasy by a friend made seconds before. A man wore a dildo helmet wrapped in Christmas lights. Bass made the ground vibrate. There was noise everywhere, and at all times." Someone on here did a pro/con writeup of the fest and I'm going to try do one in response to that, because I have a bit of a different, more positive perspective. I've only been twice, but if anyone has questions I can try answer them. I like the lineup, but a lot of what I like is also already at Sasquatch. I guess because I'm on inforoo all the time, there wasn't a ton of surprises there. Looking really nice though, and I've only scanned through it twice. I surprisingly know most of the names, which is something that normally doesn't happen for me at Roo when the lineup drops. Bonnarooooooo!

Very happy to see Santigold get added. Can't wait to dance my ass off to that. If it really does end up being Santigold into Girl Talk into Pretty Lights I'm going to dance off about a million calories. Sasquatch is my new diet plan.
I've only heard one Of Monsters and Men song, and only listened to it once, but I enjoyed it a lot. Cool add.

Yeah it was a bummer when I realized Glover wouldn't be doing a standup set also. I didn't get to see his comedy at Roo last year due to the overwhelming demand of the tickets for him.
I love this lineup the more and more I look at it.

Since he'll be playing Hangout before Sasquatch we should have an idea of the type of stuff to expect from his set.

He's an artist I can always come back to and will forever love. Odelay is probably my favorite album ever, and helped get me into all the music I listen to meow. Sea Change is totally different and I used to listen to it over and over after a bad breakup. I was trying to explain to a friend recently about how eclectic his style is and that any one song can't be representative of his sound, and she just thought I was being silly. The OP did a good job in conveying all the different places his music goes. Other than some of his lo-fi really early stuff, the only thing I've never gotten all that into was Modern Guilt. An album that wasn't mentioned that I really like is his Stray Blues B sides collection. Here's its lead song:
Timebomb is a kickass one off single he did a few years back that I've always loved:
Jack Black was in the Sexx Laws video, so it'd be awesome if they did something together at Sasquatch. The video is also a good example of showing that Beck's always had a sense of humor and playfulness throughout his career:
OP, any chance you could update that first post with videos of songs you mentioned over time? It'd help lure people into loving Beck.
I have only seen him live once, which was back in 2008. The show was good but not incredible. Coming out of it I felt I really liked it, but that was largely because I was finally seeing someone I'd loved for years. He had pretty good energy that night and did a good job of interacting with the crowd and making an effort to be fun. This is the thing I'm most excited for at Sasquatch. So glad to see some fellow appreciators out there.

I haven't seen the poster (not the video) on either the Sasquatch site or their Facebook unless if I'm just missing it. They haven't even posted the lineup on their Facebook which is bizarre.
I'm hoping that Jack White will have done a few shows already before the fest so that we have an idea of what his setlists are going to look like.
Odelay and OK Computer were the two albums that acted as gateways into all the music that I love today. I still consider Odelay to be my favorite album of all time. I am feeling so happy about Beck. I've only seen him once and can't wait for this show.

Could you point me to that thread? I was looking for threads like this one on search but didn't find any. I was actually thinking about sending some of you guys CDs, but you're more likely to receive a Goosepoops postcard.
