There's a pretty severe lack of dynamic in the music of both. For me, it's like listening to a lawnmower.
QOTSA sounds like a lawnmower? Does not compute. Dude's voice is all kinds of sexy smooth.
QotSA's sound is like a perfect combination of sexy smooth and crunchy raw. I don't understand how you could compare them to a lawnmower unless your lawnmower blasts Prince each time you use it or something.
And picturing them play songs from their new album at the Gorge gets me all sorts of excited. God damn do I love that album.
Are we talking about The National here or QOTSA? Because I feel like this is a true statement for either one.
I'm also curious to know which Queens album(s) Señor Rito listened to because I used to be only half a fan of theirs, but their new album really grew on me. I can hear so much Bowie influence in it and I love me anything Bowie.
