I've never listened to anything described as "industrial" You've never listened to Nine Inch Nails? Or Skinny Puppy? Or Death Grips? Or Powerman 5000?

Sounds to me like you need to listen to Fear of Music and Remain In Light some more. I agree with Speaking In Tongues as #1, but those two are closely tied for 2nd in my opinion. Little Creatures and True Stories sound very 80s pop to me and haven't aged as well as the others, but they do have excellent moments. Remain In Light ranked above Fear of Music for me on my listen through. Little Creatures and True stories most definitely have nostalgia value giving them the edge in my list. My biggest take away was that his set is rife with potential and that I undervalued his presence on the lineup. Definitely go through Remain in Light and Fear of Music again. Talking Heads are one of my favorite bands and I consider those two the best.

This and your previous post were pretty helpful. I guess I just got hung up on the fact that floor is cross sectioned in 4 like they've got a theater style seating. If ground floor is really a first come first serve traditional pit then that's probably where I'm looking to go. The floor is seated for that show, and closest single ticket is row 21 floor. Personally, if you’re tall that’s probably cool, but you might prefer a seat. I’d probably try for first row balcony somewhere. Yeah I should have specified that some shows have an entirely seated floor. Unless is says GA Floor then it's probably seated.

Every arena is every arena. We don’t have a proper arena in Montana and I haven’t been to Key , Pepsi, or Moda which are all the closest. Is floor good or should I go like balcony 1? Depends on how close you want to get. You can walk pretty close up to the stage with floor. Otherwise you're stuck standing in one spot. Unless you do what I did when I saw Green Day and just scout some empty seats while the shows going on to get a better view.

Now if only one of our Portland boarders could inform me where I would get the best viewing at the Moda 🤑 Every arena is every arena. This. I've only been to 3 arenas (Moda Center/Key Arena/1st Bank Center) but they were all the same basic layout.

I assume you've already watched Devilman Crybaby then? I just started, and finished, Devilman Crybaby today and it fucked me up... That ending STILL has me fucked up.

Maybe. But Grimes is also a Metal Gear Solid super fan so she could have just met up with them while they were in the area. JUST LET ME LIVE LIFE IN THIS VIVID DREAM And it looks like a few other celebrities met him yesterday too so yeah.

Hideo Kojima and Grimes are two of my most favourite people and I'm SO happy that they've hung out. There’s another pic of the two of them with Norman Reedus that makes me seriously wonder if she’s doing the Death Stranding soundtrack. Maybe. But Grimes is also a Metal Gear Solid super fan so she could have just met up with them while they were in the area.

Assuming Perfume Genius will be playing the same day as Davey Burn since he's opening up for him on the upcoming tour.

Sasquatch set was pretty similar. 1. Seven Swans 2. Too Much 3. All of Me Wants All of You 4. Come On! Feel the Illinoise! 5. I Walked 6. Vesuvius 7. Casimir Pulaski Day 8. Should Have Known Better 9. Carrie & Lowell 10. I Want to Be Well 11. Impossible Soul 12. Chicago Was it full or abridged Impossible Soul? The whole gosh darn thing.

There was also the great Sufjan / Chelsea Wolfe schism of 2016 Also I’m going on record as probably choosing Chelsea because nothing can top Age of Adz tour, especially a festival set. Gimme that 2-hour intimate venue jam for Smurfjames That set was mostly Age of Adz mixed with some sad Carrie & Lowell songs and it was WONDERFUL.

Slowdive and M83 shouldn't be compared. That being said, I have only heard one Slowdive album. I thought it was cool enough but it was too damn long (s/t). I need to hear their past records still but I already know this is a set that cannot be missed. PS I am not hating on M83. I love M83. Just totally different. Well yeah but they both fall into the shoegaze genre. Definitely listen to their older stuff though. Souvlaki is one of the best shoegaze albums ever created.

This is also the first shoegaze band to play Sasquatch, right? I can't think of any others aside from Deafheaven and I'm not sure if I'd count them.

I really just want redemption for 2015 in the form of Cowboy Dan ripping the Gorge in half Were you there for their 2011 set? That was killer. They totally played Cowboy Dan and started the set off with Shit Luck. That was my first Modest Mouse show ever and as soon as Shit Luck kicked off I knew it was going to be a good set.

Turtleneck was definitely my favourite track off the new album, but mostly because it just sounds like a Nick Cave song.
