So over on the Lolla board somebody said an Austin writer, Michael Corcoran, claims that The Cure, Depeche Mode, Kings of Leon, Muse, and Atoms for Peace will all be at ACL. This was back in January. Depeche Mode just released their tour and it looks like the will be at ACL: consequenceofsound.net/2013/03/depeche-mode-announces-u-s-tour/So maybe this guy has some credibility? Also, looks like Fun. might be there as well judging by their tour schedule.

I'm surprised that nobody is excited for the Postal Service. According to Gramma: If Postal Service happened, it would be a REALLY big deal.

Damn, this will be the second time in a row I will miss Phish. Not only can I not afford to travel up there to see them at the Gorge, they're also not playing in Texas. Phish at the Gorge is the best.

Monday usually has a slightly weaker lineup than the prior days because they know some people are going to take off to get home for work on Tuesday. Tenacious D and Beck? That was one of my favorite moments from any Sasquatch. Also, Wilco's chill set the year before was also one of my favorite sets of all time--I might be the only one who thinks that though.

It means you drink your PBRs with your pinky out. This is almost exactly what I was thinking.

I see Wonk living in Fremont or Queen Anne, not Captiol Hill.

Alright. Well let me rephrase my original post: Wonk, do you remember that one time you said you wanted to see Umphrey's McGee? I remember it like it was yesterday. They are playing in Eugene on Friday. Gramma probably won't want to go though because he doesn't like jam bands, just Phish (because of their songs). Also, he doesn't eat fungi. Just thought you should know.

Haha, I didn't mention you in my original post because I was convinced that you wouldn't want to see them.

I think it's a decent move for the Seahawks. It might end up being a little costly but it's not a horrible move at all. They just need another good pass rusher, a good solid linebacker to replace Hill, and a new CB to replace Trufant and I think they will be in damn good shape. I just saw on their schedule that they are playing an away game in Houston which means I will get to attend a game this season! Hell yeah!

I remember mentioning that I went to UM the last time they were in Portland and I swear he remarked that he has been wanting to see them. Just spreading the word. I am not a huge fan of jam bands either but these guys will melt your face off. I ate some fungi and saw them at the Roseland. It was a hell of an experience. Downtown Portland was even more of an experience after I left the show. It is both a horrible and extremely incredible place to walk around while tripping. It was a Saturday night so it was extremely packed and I felt like I was walking around a campground at a festival.

Umphrey's McGee is playing Eugene this Friday. HG, Stormy, and Geno if you have time/money I highly recommend that you see this show. If you like Phish then you will enjoy this shit. Eat some fungi and go have a blast; I highly recommend it.

So I have 340 PIM's--well above most people. I will count that as a victory for the season. My guys can't score a damn goal but they will trip you and kick your ass.

Looks like the lineup came out on May 22nd last year and the tickets pretty much sold out instantly.

I chose weekend 2 for a number of reasons. First, because Stamper is going on weekend two and I want to see him and give him a hard time. Second, because there is a Texas football game on the same weekend as weekend 2 and ACL already offered students the option to trade-in their weekend 2 passes in exchange for weekend 1 passes. I figure it will be slightly easier to get tickets for weekend 2 because of this. Third, because my hot wife is going to a veterinary conference the same weekend as weekend 1.
Normally I would have chosen to go to weekend 1.
Either way, this is going to be a blast. Triple hotel room with the Wonkster! Party time.

Awesome! ACL with Wonk and Stamper. Hey Wonk-a-tron did you buy your tickets yet? I will plan on buying tickets to the 2nd weekend so I can hassle Stamper the whole time. Unless you already bought tickets to the 1st weekend?
Edit: I guess tickets aren't on sale yet unless you happened to be on the mailing list prior to October 22nd last year.
