I have purchased two campsites at Wildhorse Campground, but only need one site. The cost of this extra campsite for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday is $120. I can't get a refund for it, but would like to sell it.
I will be arriving at Wildhorse Campground on Friday afternoon, probably around 3:00. I would like to go into the campground with whoever purchases the site from me. Outside the campground, I would give you a copy of my receipt and a copy of some ID, such as my driver's license (I would ask you for your payment plus the copy of my ID back once we were inside the campground).
Wildhorse is a quiet campground (no all-night drum circles), it has excellent food (better than in the Gorge Amphiteater venue by a mile and less expensive), it has clean outhouses, and it has showers that work well and that you won't have to wait forever to use. Possibly the best thing is the shuttle buses that run about every half hour and cart you to and from the venue, so no driving or long walks after partying. You could choose to camp next to me or not, my site and the extra site are not linked except that I have reserved both.
If you are interested in this campsite, please send me an email message at j.evans91@frontier.com.

So there is no Arcade Fire, no Pixies, no Kanye West, no Strokes? So What? I'm not sure where some of the whining about this year's lineup is coming from.
I'll be having a great time and getting my money's worth seeing and hearing Deerhunter (can't wait!), Wilco, Flaming Lips, Beach House, Sharon Jones, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Foo Fighters, Black Mountain, Guided By Voices, Local Natives, Old 97’s, Yeasayer, Bright Eyes, Iron and Wine, Flying Lotus, Death From Above 1979, Bonobo and Thermals among others.
And there are always plenty artists new to me that are pleasant surprises every year. There is lots to like this year, and it's all happening in the best venue on the planet!
Whiners? Not welcome! LOL

But... I WAS!! LOL!
Speaking of people who were born out of Satan's ass, is there any chance Brian Jonestown Massacre would ever play a festival? Have they played festivals in the past? I'd love to see them, especially if they did the material from their last two CDs.

"Thanks everyone for posting your ipod artists list." Mine isn't from my iPod, you might have noticed is wasn't alphabetized! But yeah, most of the artists I'd like to see this year *are* on my iPod, after all! Let's see, this is the "wish list" thread, right? Agreed, Cut Copy isn't quite headliner material. Hadn't considered Portishead, that would be pretty nice. I won't be hoping for White Stripes or anything Jack-related, because I am apparently one of the 1% who don't like them! LOL... But if they are there, I will go see them just because.

There is a lot to like here this year. Only a few bands I am really averse to in the while lineup. I usually don't go to see the headliners anyway, and could really care less who they are. I spend more time at the Wookie Stage getting up in front if I can.
Will admit the headliners seem a bit weak this year, but there may be more bands added and someone might poop one of the current headliners. Whether or not that happens, from top to bottom I think it is a pretty strong festival. I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for posting the lineup by day! Any word on the daily schedules yet, or will that take a while? I can't wait to start planning who I will be seeing at what time! Wondering who will headline at the Wookie Stage.

Am in agreement about MM.
Looks like a good lineup this year!
When will we know who is on what stage and when? I don't remember how long it takes the schedule to come out once the bands have been announced. thanks!

Have seen The National the last time they were at Sasquatch. They had to play on the small stage due to getting there late because of bus problems. I was right up there in the very front, they were incredible. I suppose they will be on the main stage this year, so getting up close is a bit more difficult... but they are well worth seeing. LOTS of intensity. The vocalist has some rather odd mannerisms, has an amazingly good voice. Great guitarwork, and while some don't care for the drummer's style that much, I love his work.
Also saw The Hold Steady at Sasquatch. I have to agree, their live performance is better than what's on record, although I am a fan of their CDs too. Very good energy, lots of fun.

I stay at THE DESERT AIRE MOTEL My bad back requires a bed... so I avoid the campground and head for a motel. Flush toilets, running water and a private shower are also a nice consideration. This is the fourth year in a row I will be staying at the motel at Desert Aire, which is about 18.5 miles (20-25 minutes) south of Interstate 90 where the freeway crosses the Columbia. The motel is a quiet place, simple, not fancy, but very functional. It is out of the way enough that it's fairly peaceful. The town of Desert Aire has about 1,100 residents. Nearby Mattawa has about 3,000 people, but little in the way of lodging. This year it will cost me $85 a night for a single room, including room tax. If you stay there it will take you about 40 minutes to get to the amphitheater... but this allows for time to listen to the CDs you purchase at the festival at Easy Street Records. The Desert Aire Motel doesn't fill up as quickly as the places in Quincy and Moses Lake, so if you are looking at this comment "late", you still might have a shot at getting a room at the Desert Aire. Their phone number is 509-932-4300. DIRECTIONS: From Seattle, take exit 137 and go south on WA highway 243. - From Spokane, it's still exit 137, just go down the hill from George. Once you're on Washington 243 heading south, it's a couple of miles past the turn-off to Mattawa, and it is on the right. It's part of a small complex that includes a gas station (Shell, I think). - From Tri-Cities, take WA route 240 west across Hanford, and after a while you continue north on WA route 24. When you cross the Columbia at Vernita Bridge, turn left onto WA route 243. Go north until you get to Desert Aire! TIP: I come from the Tri-Cities area, and I always arrange to pick up my room key on Saturday morning on my way to The Gorge. You need to get your room key for that night, before you go to the festival... because otherwise there would be nobody in the motel office to give you the key after the concert, like at midnight or so.

Don't think many of these would be true headliners... but I don't usually go to Sasquatch to see the headliners anyway. I'd love it if even half of these showed up: Belle and Sebastian - working on new album in 2010? Sigur Ros Arcade Fire Bats For Lashes Broken Social Scene Pixies Band of Horses Battles The National The Magnetic Fields The Helio Sequence The Thermals Wolf Parade MGMT Elbow Yo La Tengo Wolfmother Do Make Say Think Tortoise Pelican Spoon Yeasayer Boston Spaceships The Aliens Film School Truckasaurus Porcupine Tree School of Seven Bells - they can come back to Sasquacth anytime! Grizzly Bear The Wrens Andrew Bird Star Death and White Dwarfs The Purrs Matmos * = they can come back to Sasquacth anytime! Maybe a few bands could reunite for Sasquatch: Electrelane The Smiths My Bloody Valentine Chavez

I stay at THE DESERT AIRE MOTEL
I'm an old fart (age 51!) and my back requires a bed... so I avoid the campground and head for a motel. Flush toilets, running water and a private shower are also a nice consideration.

Thanks, although I don't know that I'm really all that cool, in that I probably drive my own college-aged kids crazy! They probably wonder if or when I will ever grow up, but they will put up with at Sasquatch once again because I will help them get their tickets. Lodging or camping will be on their own, but I help with the tix. I was hoping for the announcement of a My Bloody Valentine reunion at Sasquatch this year! I know, not likely, but I actually just discovered them and a whole slew of other great "shoegaze" (I HATE that term) bands during the last couple of years... Slowdive, Ride, Chapterhouse, Catherine Wheel, Flying Saucer Attack, SWERVEDRIVER...!!! All fantastic stuff, I am totally stuck on it. But this year's lineup will be fine, whether MBV is there or not. I'd also love to see Robert Pollard at Sasquatch, but I don't think he does festivals. I've been a GbV/Pollard fan for the last dozen years or so. Last year I staked out territory in the front at the Wookie stage in order to see Battles, Mates of States and The Kooks up close and personal. It was interesting, the kind of looks I was getting from younger people, but what the f. Age doesn't matter when it comes to enjoying good music. I'll be the guy with the gray hair and the red baseball cap, standing up in front, more likely than not at the Wookie stage, right in front of the speakers. I hope Sun Kil Moon and Explosions in the Sky play on the Wookie stage this year. I think it's the best... the Dandy Warhols were amazing there in 2007. I just wish I had discovered Sasquatch prior to 2007... so much has gone on there that I've missed. Thanks for the recommendations on King Khan and Hockey! I love the Wrens' "Meadowlands" but haven't heard any of their other music yet. Prior to Sasquatch I'll be listening to them as well as to other ones I haven't heard.

Hehehe! Thanks for the clue! I'm too stoked for words, obviously.
I think I've been one of the oldest people at the festival the last couple of years, and maybe after having been in the working world for over 30 years I'm just... well... into schedules. I find that once I get to Sasquatch it's totally relaxing, though.
I'm in a band, but all of us are over 50 and the rest of the group doesn't want to do anything but music from the 60s and 70s. I at least convinced them to do "Bohemian Like You" by the Dandys, but we old farts interpret it like the Stones might have in the 70s... sigh... Sasquatch provides a lot of musical inspiration for me, anyway.
Some past highlights for me - 2007: Electrelane, Ghostland, Helio Sequence, Arcade Fire, Black Angels, Grizzly Bear 2008: The National, Fleet Foxes, Beirut, Mates of State, Battles, Ghostland
For this year I'm pretty excited to see Sun Kil Moon, M83, Explosions in the Sky, Doves, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, of Montreal, The Wrens and Santogold. JA, NIN and KOL will be fun, but they aren't the main ones I'm going there to see.

Please tell... where is there information saying who is playing on what stages?
I'm underwhelmed by the headliners this year, but love many of the supporting acts. I want to know the schedule so I can do some planning for the times when two artists I want to see are playing at the same time, etc. Thanks in advance!

First, GET THESE BANDS to REUNITE and come to Sasquatch (!):
My Bloody Valentine Catherine Wheel Swervedriver - or get Adam Franklin, at least! Electrelane - I thought they were great in 07 Soundgarden !
BRING THESE BANDS BACK: The National - fantastic at the small stage last year! Arcade Fire - one of the best bands I've seen in the last ten years! The Kooks - bring them back! Ghostland Observatory - should be an annual Sasquatch tradition! Fleet Foxes - seeing them twice in one day in 08 was fantastic! Battles - amazing group! Black Angels - one of the best I saw at Sasquatch in 07! The Helio Sequence - another of 07's best!
Recruit some of these artists:
Radiohead - would make an ideal headliner Wilco - another headliner The Verve Portishead Robert Pollard - would be good on the middle stage The Shins - almost big enough to headline? Elbow Belle and Sebastian - please? They'd be great! Mogwai Electric Six - talk about fun!!! Sparklehorse Foals - some of the best math rock in the world! Brian Jonestown Massacre - if Anton could maintain long enough to perform MGMT - great new artist Lambchop - pretty mellow Sun Kil Moon - might also be a bit mellow, but what great music! The Wedding Present Low Film School Secret Machines
Plus add in all those great new artists I haven't heard of yet each year, but become a big fan of after seeing them!
I went to the festival in 07 and 08, and can't wait until 09!!!
