Yeah, total moron. I'm usually checking in from my phone and stuff (i.e. not logged in), but this guy worked pretty fast. Banned.

Yeah man, This is pretty sketchy.
$170 early bird is on par with their last specials... and I think it has been clear from the start that Premiere Camping is the way to go, and that shit already sells out first anyways. So....
a) You buy Tickets because Pavement on its own is worth it (it certainly is for me) b) You buy Tickets because Sasquatch always, more or less, rules. (Though I skipped last year because I didn't get excited about one headliner).

This lineup, overall, is pretty bad for me. My own band is heading on a cross-Canada tour for three weeks right before the Sasquatch, and the deal I made with my girlfriend (who is also in my band) was that if Sasquatch had an undeniable lineup then we would sacrifice the extra few days and go, otherwise we would have to skip this year because we are likely going to be broke as fuck from touring in a van for a month.
That said, here are the top five things I'm bummed to be missing. Surprisingly, most of it is going to be Comedy Tent related:
1) Tim and Eric live 2) Zach Galifianakis 3) Todd Barry 3) Dutchess and the Duke (seriously folks, their record from last year is A+) 4) King Khan and the Shrines 5) Monotonix
and the top five "bummers" for me: 1) NIN 2)Janes Addiction 3)Airborne Toxic 4)Ben Harper 5)Girl Talk
I think people are right about going to discover the undercard - lots of stuff I haven't heard and wont be able to check out. I'm sad to miss: The beautiful gorge amphitheatre, road trippin' w/ peeps, getting afternoon drunk, being cynical about the music.

Yeah, REM and The Cure were both snores (and I went there stoked on both).

We'll see Tuesday! The End were the first with the lineup last year, and our source (Coren) is not one of "those" people (attention whores), so I'd say it would be fairly accurate.

Seriously though: is anyone dying to see Jane's Addiction or NIN? Toxic Airborne Event, aside from a dreadful name, aren't very inspiring. TV On The Radio might be ok, I kind of like that Gaslight Anthem record... nothing too inspiring though from this shortlist. Hopefully a stronger undercard?

Also: The End was the station that were the first to announce the lineup last year.

Bah, Nothing is official until Tuesday, but I'll vouch for Coren from past interactions and stuff. Some people are attention whores, some people aren't.

Ha! Last year, I used my Premiere Camping pass to get into the VIP area by the comedy tent and had at least three meals there. Then they got wise.

Lets keep this thread for official confirmations only please from here on out. If you want to discuss the philosophy of Internet civility, I'm happy to discuss that further, but pm me please. If you don't know the difference between "I don't like ____" vs. "You like _____? You are an idiot", then I can't help you.
The suggestion to start a "Speculations thread" is a good one that I will be starting right now. This includes the "I have on good authority" stuff. Everything that is not an official confirmation with a link to verify will be removed/moved or whatnot.
.... Actually, the existing 2009 lineup thread is basically that anyways. Post the rumours there. Confirmations here. Dustin's Sasquatch blog is great way to also keep track of "good rumours / confirmed"

Basically, everything is ok, save for the personal attacks on people's music taste. Its one thing to say "this seems like bullshit" - in the rumour stage, I don't know if one poster's "I heard from so and so that these bands are playing, but I can't back it up" is bullshit any more than you do. Until the lineup is set, it is all speculation.
My cryptic/exhausted post last night was related to the personal mud slinging back and forth in this thread (and others) after I had just posted something the day before for people to try and be more civil.
If you want to take this public Interstateeight, no, you don't have it correctly. I asked you to ease up because you were being outwardly hostile/rude to people, and I had numerous complaints about it. Specifically, your posts along the lines of "ha, you like THAT band? That band is so shitty and you are an idiot for liking said band" were rubbing a bunch of people (including me) the wrong way, and so I asked you to ease up on people. Taste is subjective; music taste doubly so. You don't get to be superior to people who like, in your opinion, terrible music. I think lots of music is terrible, but that is my business.

Lots of agro posts here this week, which needs to stop. From here on out, posts in the vein of
"You are a fucking idiot if you think _______ band/style of music/musician/era are good. Try getting some good taste like me"
are going to be deleted/altered without warning.
Sasquatch always has such a positive, friendly vibe every year, and we should try and emulate that on this board. I've never seen a fight break out at Sasquatch, and yet they are breaking out here left and right.

I have no reason to trust/not-trust the Grizzly Bear thing. It's a rumour until it isn't, but it wouldn't be a stretch that they would play this thing (they were wildly popular at the 07 Sasquatch, people like them, they "fit", they are touring around then...)

I've got it on good authority (I book shows in Southern Alberta) that Monotonix (insane band from Isreal who are a perfect fit for Sasquatch) are going to be in the general vicinity during Sasquatch.
