Anybody know if there's any sort of gate or something, preventing late returns? Thanks s'quatchers!

Nope, premier camping is down the hill closer to the venue, I believe (never stayed there or been there, so don't quote me). But it's not Wildhorse. Wildhorse is a private venue off-site.

Looks more like 3 km of walking on that crappy dirt road actually.... bit.ly/cH0qo1 (google maps pedometer) if you hit the satellite button on that map, i'm assuming the site where I've marked in the southeast is the wildhorse. the address from the wildhorse website suggests it is. Can anyone recognize it and confirm? Or is it even farther away? I'm guessing I'll only be making that walk one night. Dang.

Hmmm... are the showers open at night by chance? Might be a sneaky way to beat crowds.
Yeah, I had always done the bird bath under the tap thing too, taking a bowl to a water station to wash my hair and stuff. I was more asking for the girls I'm travelling with. They waited for over an hour last year. Crazy business.
EDIT - according to maps and the Wildhorse site, it's only 3/4 mi away. That's definitely walkable if there are no shuttles. Any idea if it's possible to get into the Wildhorse campsite that late in the evening? There isn't a locked gate at night or anything, is there?

I'm pretty surprised that anyone would be underwhelmed by the lineup. I think it's amazing. The concern I have, which was one part of the OP's comment that seems to have not been picked up in the discussion, is some of the conflicts. Different acts overlapping with each other, and really wanting to see both. That's the nature of music festivals though, can't do much about it. I'm just excited as hell to get down there.

Alright, so I'm camping at Wildhorse this year... never done it before. Many friends of mine will be at the general campsite. Is there any means of getting back and forth between camps later in the eve? Is it reasonable walking distance?
Also, how late does the Wildhorse site close in the evening, or can you get back in late into the evening?
Lastly, are the showers open 24 hours? I assume the shower lineups are a lot more reasonable than they are in the main site.
Thanks folks!
