i keep looking at this lineup hoping that there'll be something that will spark my interest and make me say 'fuck it. i'm going' but no matter how many times i look at it, i'm just not inspired. Pretty much dude. If they really draw almost 4 times as many people than Sasquatch does then they REALLY dropped the ball on this lineup. I've accepted that Sasquatch will never really achieve that "wow" factor lineup due to attendance/financial reasons, but when you have a festival the size of Bonnaroo you better deliver some serious OOMPH year after year haha. I don't think they dropped the ball at all. I would do anything to go this year. I love Sasquatch because it's more about the indy rock scene, but Bonnaroo is really all about the grand mix of everything. You saw the lineup from the year I went.. I saw Chris Rock, Metallica, Pearl Jam, BB King, Kanye West, Tegan and Sara, MGMT, Sigur Ros, Willie Nelson, Death Cab for Cutie..... well... you get the point. anyways.. I think the lineup is stellar and I would die to go. But that's what I like about music. Different strokes for different folks! That being said.. my heart belongs to Sasquatch now.

hahaha.. sweet tea. All we have in Canada is sweet tea. The first time I ordered an iced tea in the States and literally got tea that was iced, I was so confused..

You went to Bonnaroo in 2008? ME too! Loved it! Maybe my favorite 'Roo year. Sigur Ros was so good! But I will say that Bonnaroo 2008 was uncharacteristically cooler that year. 2009, too. However, 2007? IT was an absolute oven on that farm. And Apparently last year was also crazy-hot. Bonnaroo '08 was my first festival ever and it was amazing!! Glad to see some Roo love!!!

I really do love THE STATE of Tennessee, but I'm a pale, Scottish, white boy from Seattle and I can't for the life of me handle that humidity lol hahaha... and I'm a pale, chubby, white girl from the wet coast, and I did alright.. although, I guess it was mild that year?? It didn't feel mild, but I've definitely had it be just as bad in Vancouver. PLUS THERE'S A GIANT MUSHROOM FOUNTAIN!! The giant mushroom fountain is amazzzziinnnggg. hhahaha. So much fun to play in. I love Tennessee.. I would go back a million times to visit. Nicest people I've ever met.

I know a few songs off of that album. They played them at our school dances I think. I also worked at that amusement park we were telling you about and they played only top pop hits from about 1995 onwards. (I worked at that place in 2000).. Any song I might have liked, I quickly lost interest in. There were days we would hear the same song 6 times in an 8 hour shift.
As for the new stuff.. I'm open to suggestions dude! I'm not one to shut something out before I've given it a chance!

Also, the people complaining about Tennessee being a horrible place to hold a festival, have you actually been to Tennessee??

This lineup is bonnaroo failing to deliver. I haven't felt this good about choosing sasquatch over 'roo since '08:) I was at Bonnaroo in '08 and I loved it.. loved loved loved loved loved.. Granted, I had never been to Sasquatch. But I still had an amazing time. I got to see some awesome bands before they were famous, got to see Pearl Jam for the first time, got to see some awesome Canadians rock out.. I had fun (but everyone likes different music right?). I had a fantastic time.. and I would do anything to go to Bonnaroo again this year. Some people aren't hot on the lineup, but it does it for me.. hard.. I've definitely talked about how hot it was there.. but it wasn't the end of the world.. I've been just as hot and warn out at Sasquatch. ('09 was like being in the mouth of hell at some points). They both have their ups and downs. I liked re-entry at Bonnaroo, I like the scenery at the Gorge, I like the food options at Bonnaroo, I like the smaller crowd at Sasquatch.. blah blah blah.. Honestly, for 80,000 + people.. I really didn't find it that bad.. and believe me, I'm not the nicest person in a crowd.. If I could do both.. I would. Had to get that off my chest! thanks

Not unsafe??? Seriously??? uhhh... SO UNSAFE! The amount of people that would swarm that thing in seconds would boggle your mind. Then it would pop because some jackass would TOTALLY stab it and then there would be a clustertruck of people squirming around. It wouldn't last more than 20 minutes. Cute idea... but not realistic.

My top 10 bands that I WILL NOT miss at Sasquatch (and will be really really sad if I encounter time conflicts...) 1. Chromeo - because I want to boogey 2. Sam Roberts Band - One of the few bands in the lineup that I know well but have never seen.. I can't help my little ol' Canadian self.. I just love these guys. 3. Death From Above 1979 - cause I'll probably never get the chance again? 4. Foo Fighters - Because it's fun to pretend your 17 every now and then. And this will be the.. 6th? time I've seen them?? 5. CSS - Fun singing Brazillian girls, how could you say no? 6. K-os - Canadian Rap. Need I say more? 7. The Flaming Lips - One of the best live shows I've ever seen.. ever.. I'm always up for awesomeness. 8. Black Mountain - Just a good time to be had by all. 9. Axis of Awesome - I love the 4 chord bit they do.. also, the comedy acts don't get no love. 10. ....... I haven't delved deep enough into the setlist to decide my 10th.. So this 10 spot is to be determined.
