I was wondering what the Bigfoot stage was all about. I am playing with the Seattle Rock Orchestra on Monday and just saw that we're playing on that stage. We're most all accoustic (violins, violas, cellos....) backing up a band, so it should be interesting to see what this is all about. I just wonder, how big is this stage? First off... Awesome that someone who's actually playing is on the boards... Secondly... I'm pretty excited to see the Seattle rock Orchestra... Thirdly... The best guess so far is that the Green Stage is a smaller stage suited best for acoustic type sets. Regardless it should be interesting.

Yeah... I'm still holding out for either Band of Horses, or MGMT jumping on stage with Kid Cudi.

I've never seen Blood Brothers and I loved them back in junior high haha. I think it'd be awesome. Yeah, that's a bit far off... It's one of those "Oasis," type feuds, but that would be sweet lol.

haha aside from the fact that a deadmau5 acoustic set is impossible, i agree. that would be frightening. Frightening, or would it be everything you ever thought you saw on hallucinogenics/ psychedelics. lol

that's interesting about acoustic sets, i guess that would make sense for a "green" stage. dawes is definitely a mellower band that could easily do some acoustic stuff. In my experience I haven't seen them change their sets from what I've seen. Bands will play as if it's a normal stage, but the stages seem to be sub-par. For example I saw Cage the Elephant and Ted Leo play at what was a similar sounding stage at Street Scene last year, and what would've been really good shows were not so good due to the setups... But who knows, eh? I'm always down with more music.

Well... hmmm... I've been to a few festivals that added these "green stages," and though it was a great idea, the stages themselves proved to be suitable for really only acoustic sets... Do artists do this... no they often try to play their normal set, (which is fair,) but unfortunately it tends to sound awful. So I'm seeing this as more of a kitchy thing, and hoping for no further potential "FML conflicts."

Street Scene in San Diego is pretty cool, the weather is exceptional, and the backdrop of downtown in San Diego is awesome... especially when you have bands like Ghostland's laser light show going miles into the skyline tracing what could easily be images through projection... amazing. And as andimac said, Monolith is pretty cool, can't compare with the acoustics of Red Rocks.

Depending on how upbeat... Ghostland Observatory has that nice balance of rock and Justice type dancing; from the lower, slower beats from I'll be Suzi and Stranger Love, to Vibrate and Piano Man.
I've liked Caribou's newer sound off of Swim, songs like Kalil, Sun, and Leave House have a good beat to them. Sticking with some Sasquatch artists this year, (as it's been the majority of what's been in my ears,) Portugal the man has some decent music that I can imagine seeing worked into some type of dance, albeit interpreted or formal dancing.

It'd be sweet if Ezra Koeing dropped by the Very Best set for Warm Heart of Africa. Plus I've heard MMJ often has cameos and guests on stage. I was front and center for Wilsons Fleet Foxes intro a couple years and it was really exciting, I was actually convinced for half a second that Loverboy was playing... It would be kind of difficult seeing Ezra show up as they're slated to play at the same time in opposing sites... I think the cameos for both BSS and Massive Attack are going to be by far the likeliest outcome for the "surprise guests," otherwise collaborations between artists that are already scheduled could happen, (i.e. MGMT and Kid Cudi, or Kid Cudi and Band of Horses for that matter, even the far off possibility of a blood brothers reunion.)

I still have a slight glimmer of hope for Ramona Falls. They're touring with The National right now, and the tour ends days before Sas, up in Washington or Oregon.

The lineup has always been impressive... but it has a lot of complications for me personally... Although that Outdoor theatre, second day I think, has an amazing lineup.

if anybody 18+ from Canada asks me to buy them alcohol I'll gladly oblige. But I'm not going to go out of my way to do it. Well said, and I can agree to that.

On the other hand, if I had to rank the nine headliners between Sasquatch and Lollapalooza, it would go something like this: 1. Arcade Fire (Can't see them live enough) 2. My Morning Jacket (Can't see them live enough) 3. Massive Attack (Never had a chance to see them) 4. Soundgarden 5. Ween/Green Day (tough call) 5. Green Day/Ween 7. The Strokes 8. Phoenix 9. Lady Gaga At least for my taste, Sasquatch stacks up pretty good. It definitely goes Broken Social Scene over Arcade Fire even though I would be damn near close to giving a kidney to see Arcade Fire as well. So Sasquatch wins out.

I'm a bit confused as the Schedule portion of the website has to of my favorite commedians The Red Wine Boys (Todd Barry and Jon Benjamin) as performing 2:15 to 3:00 on Sunday whereas the PDF schedule has them listed as going on at 3:30. I assume that since the PDF schedule is more recent it is more correct (and I sure hope so, because as much as I love the red wine boys, I ain't missin' the Walkmen), but does anyone know which time is correct for SURE? I'm not sure if anyone answered this question yet, but they will start at 3:30. Take it to the bank. Bahahhahaha! Hilarious.
