Quasi-related to the Oscars: Throughout the commercial breaks, I kept seeing that this morning, Britney Spears had a "big" secret announcement she'd be making. I'll be honest--with all of the GaGa insanity and Beiber Fever, I forgot about the voiceless clown. But for those of you interested in her "big" announcement, I included the link: abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/britney-spears-perform-good-morning-america-san-francisco/story?id=13013845Better yet--don't waste your time. This washed up pop princess merely announced she will be performing for the first time on Good Morning America for her stupid new single, "Hold it Against me" Waste.of.time. Gotta say, sure--she's still hot. Sure, she's still a good dancer, but I've been subjected to years of her bad singing and I couldn't give two shits if she'll be performing on GMA! ahem...pardon my rant!

Souly, no joke. Do it if you can. It was the summer inbetween my senior year of high school and freshman year of college. I was the head coach and made $2,000 for the month I coached the neighborhood team. I broke the numbers down--I made roughly $90/hour. Unfortunately, I had emergency surgery in the middle of the season, which kept me out of the water and quite frankly, unable to walk for the rest of my time there--because of that, I got docked $500 from my pay since I couldn't be as active with the kids. The scary part is that though I lived in a mildly affluent area, there were neighborhoods nearby who would shell out $5,000/month for their coaches. Man, oh man!
And I suppose the diet justification seems a little more depressing than I explained. I see it more as a motivational outlook than anything else. I count calories, so when I'm working out, I'll know if I've burned off snacks, meals, beers, sweets, etc. That way, I can reward myself with a treat. Y'know?

I get a little anxious if I fall behind on topics. I fear this board'll turn into the Bonnaroo board soon with the thousands of members and constant topic changes.

Oh yeah, I heard that skank got nakie in that one So perhaps Disney knows how to turn Knightly into a sultry wench, but I still stand by my statement that Portman is a much more talented actress. And Drew--I'm not much of a chick-flick kinda girl, but I felt like P&P was a tad overrated. Sure, cinematography was brilliant, but the film lacked from an acting stand point, I believe--particularly from Knightly's end. She was the lead and was I saw the least amount of change in her.

I just think Knightly looks so good in period costume. Whhhaaaat? I refuse to believe Knightly looks better in costume than Portman

Oh, and as far as natalie portman goes... I'm more partial to Keira Knightley. Gotta disagree with ya, love. Portman excels at all facets--class, talent, beauty, etc. Though they do kind of look alike, I can't dare to compare a Bend it Like Beckham or a Jane Austen film resume with an actress who has gracefully mastered challenging roles in films like Black Swan or V for Vandetta. I'll admit--Portman has seen her share of awkward roles, such as Queen Padame or whatever in that Star Wars film that never should have happened, but she certainly has grown into a very classy, brilliant actress. Knightly still has some growing to do, IMO.

I don't mean to brag, but I kinda mean to brag:
Scoped out this hole-in-the-wall beer distributor place this weekend and walked out with an entire case of Breckenridge Vanilla Porter for $23 bucks and Terrapin India Brown Ale for like, $33. Two cases of craft brews for under $60? Uhh, yes please and thank you!
A Young's case was going for $60 itself. I promised I'd go splitzies with Stamper on it next time we go there.

That's crazy! I was a swim team for 7 years, and butterfly was always my favourite. It was faster than my freestyle at one point too. I don't mind swimming without music. Long swims were always my specialty. I did 3 hours straight once for charity. I also loved the long races, the ones that were over 20 minutes. I just hated when my parents stood at the end of my lane and cheered for the WHOLE time. I'm pacing myself dammit. Instead of music I always do weird math in my head. Like 'if I swim this fast how long would it take me to swim to my house?' Fun times. Yeah, Butterfly isn’t too too bad--especially when you’re able to get to get the momentum off of the board for the start of an IM. I think my absolute fastest/best stroke was breast, though (har, har) And yeah, I sometimes hated it when you had the cheerleaders on the side, but since I coached for a while, I saw it really kept the younger kids motivated. They get easily distracted—I was a pretty active coach and I’d run from one end of the pool to the other. Ha. That’s a good idea to keep your mind into the work out. Sometimes I’ll do that when I’m doing cardio. “If I run for five more minutes, I’ll burn enough calories to justify one scoop of ice cream!” Hi everyone. Bonnaroo native here, newbie to Sasquatch. Super excited though. Driving over from Iowa. Couple suggestions on things to bring. If your worried about chaffing, bicycle shorts or gold bond. Both work really well. Invest in a "female urination device" best 10 bucks I ever spent. Check out pstyle or go-girl. I know how scary the port o potties get at Roo. I keep my phone, camera, money in a zip lock baggie. That keeps it from getting wet or muddy. Action Wipes. There a lot bigger than baby wipes and clean better also. Plus there eco friendly. Welcome to the board, Scarlet! Since you’re familiar with Coachella and Bonnaroo, I don’t doubt you will have a blast at Sasquatch! Props for driving from Iowa! You seem to have some interesting techniques to survive the weekend with. Can’t say I know much about rocking a lady catheter. I gotta be honest. Sounds a little freaky. For the record, the good ol’ Honey Buckets really aren’t too bad. I’ve even changed clothes in them and it wasn’t a big deal. They’re relatively clean. Zip lock baggie. Great idea! Gold Bond? I haven't really had problems with chaffing, but that's probably because I wore sundresses all weekend (HATE shorts). But, for safety's sake, perhaps its worth a try. So, you just slather it on and you're free from shaving irritation and sweat-induced chafing? hm..I always thought it was for guys and their..ahem...nether regions.. Action wipes? Where do you get these? Are they for your bum or your face? I’ve usually just grabbed my wipes from the dollar toiletries section from Target, but if the action wipes are good for the environment, I wouldn’t mind trying those out.

I sweat when temperatures rise above 70. It's awful. Plus I'm a bit of a germaphobe so at least a couple showers during the weekend keeps me sane. 70 degrees? I sweat in the dead of winter! This is why the thought of Bonnaroo scares me!

I love swimming! I was a swim coach a few years ago. Easily the best job ever.
I also was on a swim team for 10 years or so. As I was getting toward the end of my "career," I was really getting into the butterfly. Who knew? Most people hate that stroke.
Whenever I go to the gym and take my bathing suit with me, though, I usually opt out of it because I NEEED to listen to music while working out. I get bored really fast when swimming laps.

And I'm going to try to get into an exercise routine. I have some really good ones on the wii that I have done before. I just need to get into a routine. Plus work is pretty draining, so it's hard to exercise on top of that. That's the hardest part--getting into a routine. But, once you're into one, there's no stopping you! Unfortunately, I'm also in that slump where I'm not consistent with my exercises. I still try to hit a cardio machine at least once a week, but I used to exercise at LEAST 4 days a week. Its that stupid consistent work schedule

I'm really bummed. I might not be able to get work off for Sasquatch. One of my coworkers (one who can cover my shifts) has her due date 5 days before. Another lady has had a European vacation planned since last summer and will be there from May until mid August (she is from Europe and has family thus the extended vacation) Than there are others who are requesting the weekend off for camping. I put my request in a couple months ago, but the two people who can cover my shifts are the ones who will not be here. My boss is going to see what she can do, as she is going to need to get a temp worker to help cover shifts but right now there is no guarantee that I can go. quit.

I love my Sony, but this thing makes it look like that Fisher Price player we probably all had as kids. Dude. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I used to put my My Little Ponies on there so they could "go for a ride." I loved watching them go around and around. Cheap thrills as a kid! And sometimes I listened to music on it, too.
