I personally hope the powers that be go easy on the dubstep in favor of diverse acts more like Aeroplane, Lindstrom, The Twelves, Flying Lotus, Shackleton...

^^ Ahh I didn't think of that. Good point, unfortunately Out of curiosity, do bands often wrap up a tour on another continent and play a show a few days later? I've never understood the stamina of some of these bands. It's a 9 day tour with 8 shows, and then 5 days off if they play the last day of Sasquatch. I don't really think stamina is an issue here.

I've never heard of wristbands having a barcode, that seems ridiculous. And, yeah people wear them for months afterwards, but I'm sure the graphics wear off on them, even if they stay intact.
good call peatrick

Why? I mean, they're not going to be there but one doesn't really have anything to do with the other. Yeah I was just assuming they cost a crap-ton of money to book, but based on what some other people said, maybe they don't cost a lot. Maybe they are like the Pavement of 2011 assuming everything in 2011 is bigger scale (bigger throwback rock band shows, more days, etc.)

Riiight. For some reason I was thinking that the price would change when the full lineup was announced, in which case the pricing situation would not be comparable to last years. But yeah, it's definitely the same proportionally. Still a lot of cheddah though

True, the math holds up. And I don't even care about everyone in the party paying for camping because that is how it works at most festivals.
But we paid $185 knowing the full lineup, not just one band. That's a pretty big deal to a lot of people, especially people not from the Pacific Northwest.

$285-295 without a lineup even announced??? That is absurd considering last year we paid what like $185 or something

Cut Copy officially announced their new album details last week. I'm certain they will at least make the summer festival circuit, which hopefully means a Sasquatch stop! They would bring an enormous crowd to their set. i concur. the lollapalooza crowd for them was ridiculous - i imagine there would be a similar response at Sasquatch Fingers crossed for a late night show. I think they could also close out the festival on the main stage Monday night as well.
