For the record, I was brutally honest and I'm sure I will be hated for some of my answers listed. There have proven to be many ways to if not circumvent my pointless, idiot wrath, then to at least minimize it. New girl here is using one of the more effective ones: pandering to my grammar/punctuation hangups. The pandering is merely coincidental. I truly am a Grammar Nazi in real life. It's part of my job description. Actually, nevermind. Consider it pandering, as I don't have the skills to effectively fool anyone with a fake account or any such creative means of avoiding wrath. Don't reject me!

Thanks, Genotalia. You guys are much nicer in person than I imagined. I hope I don't disappoint.

Capitalization matters. Spelling matters. Punctuation matters....we don't want this place to start looking like 4chan or your little sister's text message inbox...Asking noobs to type correctly is, to a certain extent, a litmus test...Meatheads and assholes are unwelcome here, and traditionally a meathead or an asshole will quickly show their colors when they are asked to do something that they are not capable of doing...I am an unabashed grammar nazi, and I am an Admin, and I told you to. As a fearful newbie, I appreciate your sentiments, Gramma. I must say, I have a love-hate relationship with the Grammar Nazi thing. I was utterly terrified for years to post on this board because I was sure I would mess something up and receive mocking of epic proportions in return. However, I am also a Grammar Nazi in real life, so I am thankful for the grammatical standards that have allowed me to glean a great deal from these boards despite my cowardly lack of participation. Thus, I promise I'm not a Meathead, I hate texting lingo, and I hope I pass the litmus test so I can perhaps contribute something useful rather than just lurking. All that said, is it totally nerdy to post the introduction profile dealie that initiated this thread years ago? I was going to do it, but it appears it is not 'done' with much regularity these days, and I don't want to go about making things more difficult for myself than they already are as a newbie.

Forgive me - I'm new (gulp) and I couldn't find a thread that would be appropriate for this question. For some reason, the camping/lodging category only seems to contain (recent) threads on camping. Do any of you have favorite places to stay, as in hotels - not camping? I know, it's part of the experience, but I've been quite a few times now and trying to decide whether it's better to stay at a hotel in Moses Lake or to look at one of the towns west of the gorge instead.

Davers - MUCH appreciated. Red Fang was on his list, so that's great. I haven't listened to nearly as much Japandroids as I should have at this point, so I will get on that. Torche is new to me so I will do some homework. Thanks a ton! Yeah - after six years of going without him (my first year was before we started dating) he surprised me early for my birthday by saying he would buckle and accompany me, finally. Admittedly, the range of Sasquatch music is broad and pretty damn eclectic, but it is mostly my kind of music - not his. Thus, the 'uncovering new music' thread seemed perfect. I would like to make it a better-than-miserable experience for him so any bands that fall into those categories will be a lovely addition to my 2013 Sasquatch experience. (off-thread-topic) - Nadine, that's one of my favorite movies ever! (another off-thread-topic) - Dr. Garbanzoinski - I've done enough of my homework to know that a compliment from you should not be taken lightly. Thank you, sir. :-) Also, who DOESN'T like David Lynch? Future noobs take note. She used correct grammar, posted content in the correct thread, and she likes David Lynch.

Wow - blown away by lack of mocking. I was prepared to take hits for the Willy Moon post. Yay! Indeed, I saw Bjork. Aside from being amazing, she won my heart because she is the only performer I have ever seen who appeared to be awkward as me. Of course, she does have unbelievable talent to outweigh the awkwardness. Anyhow, it made me appreciate her live performance much more.

I must say, after reading posts for the last few years, the anxiety I feel about finally posting something on this board is ridiculous. Hopefully I'm using the shift key, proper grammar, and my youtube link functions correctly.
Thanks everyone for the great tips on this year's lineup. It will be my eighth sasquatch in a row, but I finally convinced my husband to come with me this year. Any great tips on metal/punk/old-fashioned country with this year's lineup would be much appreciated. I will second tj's earlier comment about Willy Moon - and I'm also embarrassed to admit how excited I am to see him. Then I will hopefully redeem myself by also saying how excited I am to see Grimes. When I read her bio and saw that one of her influences was David Lynch, I was sold.
