I'm glad that I didn't have to have my wallet and iPod and corn chips stolen in order to learn that cleverly hiding them behind a canvas flap with a zipper on it isn't an adequate safeguard against theft.

If the yellowshirts noticed how everyone was leaving all of their shit out and unsecured, then probably every other person who walked by noticed it too. If you lock your shit up, it isn't going to get stolen. It's fucking miraculous in its simplicity.

Jeff's guitar cut out entirely for 90% of 'Two-Headed Boy'; some tech kept trying to fix it, but eventually Jeff just signaled to him to let it go. He just kept playing, and so it ended up being just this huge singalong that segued perfectly into 'The Fool'. Incompetence at its finest, on the Crystal's part, but the effect was very powerful and moving. Made me glad I went to the second night.
I'm usually in the shutup-and-let-me-hear-who-I-paid-to-hear camp, but that truly was a special moment.
You were at that show? You should have bought me a drink. I'm sure you saw me. I'm the elderly woman with the curling subcutaneous horn growing out of her forehead.
