Yeah, I went in on some unspecified amount of acid and was glad to have taken it right before and not an hour earlier. I have since watched it several times, and it is amazing. I really like to have it on while cleaning for some reason.

ODDSAC was incredible. Went in stone sober and came out feeling like I took two hits of acid. Some great, wildly primitive AC music in there. sexually awkward Q & A after. Saw it with what was supposed to be a Panda Bear Q&A after but he didn't make it in time. It was playing at like 2 in the afternoon at this theatre, and what HG said was my reaction as well.

So Deakin is playing prima, right? But not Panda, right? Maybe that's because.... He'll be riding the magic jet?

I guess I actually have no idea, but I assume yes? Who knows what an AC show w/o PB would be like. Enough abbrev. for u DOTR?

So Deakin is playing prima, right? But not Panda, right? Maybe that's because.... He'll be riding the magic jet? This quote was confusing. You made it sound like Deakin was playing with AC at Prima (correct), but that Panda wasn't playing with AC at Prima (incorrect?) Confusion.

I'm pretty sure an Animal Collective set wouldn't go down without Panda.

Exactly...okay, anyway, I would be surprised in just Panda came for a set at Sasquatch. AC is a bigger draw, why not bring the whole band.

Animal Collective won't be at Sasquatch and Panda is playing with AC at Primavera.

No Panda. No Animal Collective.
No Avey. No Animal Collective.
Geologist, I have no idea.
It's been proven AC can exist without Deakin.

But they are better WITH Deakin.
Spirit They're Gone... is a really good album, and that's just Panda and Avey. Strawberry Jam is their best album (imo), and that's all four. I don't know what the fuck Geologist does other than have the best nickname.

'Sung Tongs' was just Avey and Panda, too. As far as I can tell, though, Geologist is more responsible for the current Animal Collective sound than any of the other band members. What he 'does' is build the samples and loops that lend all their new material it's bombast.
If Animal Collective were Roxy Music, Geologist would be Brian Eno.

I love that song, while simultaneously hating that that song is the only thing 90% of the people who have heard it know about Brian Eno.
