As much as I'd like to think that it's true, I wouldn't consider this legitimate yet. There's no way Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters would be on the same day unless we're going to get some really obscure headliner on one of the other days or something. Crossing my fingers though! I missed them back in November

From the headliner thread: Though it also says they're playing Friday at Coachella, so maybe this site just list the first/a random date during the festival? It's not like it would be a big surprise if they're there. That site also lists cold war kids as playing.

if the site is legit --- what it most likely means is that Arcade Fire is expected to headline at some point during the festival - but haven't released the exact day of the performance. Therefore they just listed the first night of the festival.
(in short - exactly what the post above me said)

^^ My thoughts exactly, it is saying that they will play at some point during the festival, not specifying Friday. At least I hope so

They're not coming. I emailed them back when they sent their tour dates. I asked if the seattle date meant no Sasquatch and the answer was "... afraid so. Sorry!". World crushed. That's very disappointing. They would have been so fun at mainstage for sunset, or as a late night. I appreciate you finding out though, better I find this out sooner than later.

WEIRD... never heard of the site but it looks legitimate enough. Does it? Why? No one should be shocked if the band plays at Sasquatch, but let's remain skeptical of our sources when skepticism is wholly warranted.

calling bullshit on arcade fire being there friday, they have a much bigger draw than the foo fighters at the moment. there's very few bands they'd be opening for these days. I could see them in a saturday headlining spot though.

Fitz and the Tantrums are in an iTunes ad. They're also labelmates with Minus the Bear, Silversun Pickups, Hot Hot Heat, The Limousines, and Delphic.

I could see them in a saturday headlining spot though. Let's just pretend for a second that sasquatch went REALLY HUGE (like Coachella huge) this year and that The Arcade Fire were actually sub headlining on Friday. How much exposure do you think AF gets in the US compared to Foo Fighters? In Washington? Talking overseas now, have they sold out Wembley Stadium the last time they toured? Now a different scenario. If Foo Fighters were anounced at Coachella on the same night as Arcade Fire, where do you think they would be listed on the line-up? A lot of people think Saturday at Coachella this year is strangely underwhelming... They will probably be adding a second headliner on that night if anywhere. My point is that Arcade Fire will probably have their own night at sasquatch (like I8 and others have already pointed out), but they DON'T have the bigger draw than Foo Fighters.
