Do we know that Fighters are for sure on friday? Per the Sasquatch! website: "Foo Fighters will headline the NEW Friday event."

I also understand that Arcade Fire are headliner material nowadays, but it also shouldn't be a surprise to anyone if they had to sub under a band as big as The Foo Fighters.
Also, maybe they have a tour together around that time? Dave has a knack for working with bands he likes.

Or maybe... FRIDAY WILL HAVE NOTHING BUT HEADLINERS!

I'm just throwing the "NIN/JA Theory" back out there. But maybe (after looking at the FF site) that is unlikely as well, unless they plan on having a US tour w/ Arcade Fire around March-May and have a (yet to be announced) slot for Coachella. They do live in CA after all so they are probably pretty flexible with the circuit in the west.
Anyways, I also find it odd that they have Band Of Horses opening for them on a February 25th Wembley date (their closest live date announced) and then BoH again with them in June overseas. Maybe they could be sticking together for the in between months.

Band of Horses possibility? per BoH Official Twitter account --- "BOH return to Europe in June for some special shows including festivals and a pair of stadium dates with Foo Fighters." while I know it only mentions a pair of stadium dates with Foo Fighters in Europe, this should be enough information to at least put them in the Rumor category. while there are usually a couple repeats each year, they're almost always bands that blew up in the last year and therefore deserve a much higher place on the lineup (my guess is so that all the people that missed them the year before cause they didn't know them can stop kicking themselves). BoH was really highly billed last year and hasn't really gotten bigger. I think bands like Mumford and Sons or Local Natives are the kind of repeats we should be expecting. Then again with the billing Mumford has at Coachella I reaaaalllllyyyy don't want them at Sasquatch cause they would be like a subheadliner it was on Page 2, to be exact...

calling bullshit on arcade fire being there friday, they have a much bigger draw than the foo fighters at the moment. there's very few bands they'd be opening for these days. I could see them in a saturday headlining spot though. Let's just pretend for a second that sasquatch went REALLY HUGE (like Coachella huge) this year and that The Arcade Fire were actually sub headlining on Friday. How much exposure do you think AF gets in the US compared to Foo Fighters? In Washington? Talking overseas now, have they sold out Wembley Stadium the last time they toured? Now a different scenario. If Foo Fighters were anounced at Coachella on the same night as Arcade Fire, where do you think they would be listed on the line-up? A lot of people think Saturday at Coachella this year is strangely underwhelming... They will probably be adding a second headliner on that night if anywhere. My point is that Arcade Fire will probably have their own night at sasquatch (like I8 and others have already pointed out), but they DON'T have the bigger draw than Foo Fighters. THIS IS A STUPID CONVERSATION. Arcade Fire will be headlining a different night. There's no need to talk about them in relation to Foo Fighters.

Drew - I'm sure (like the rest of you are) that they will have their own night. But for all we know that concert site could be right too... And what I explained above would be the likely scenario behind it. It's all just speculation.
Stamper- Thanks for pointing that out. I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere on this board a few days ago but I didn't see the argument behind it.

It's all just speculation. Did you notice that, a few days ago, there was a 40-page long thread with a similar title to this one? Did you notice that we're no longer posting in it? Do you have any theories as to why that might be? Would quoting the first post of this thread, taking language directly from the board's only administrator, do something to help with that? Stay on topic. Stay grounded. Put wild, baseless speculation elsewhere,* like the wishlist thread. *Yeah, what you're doing counts.

Put wild, baseless speculation elsewhere,* like the wishlist thread. *Yeah, what you're doing counts. It does count, because it's RIDICULOUS to assume that two headliners will both play on Friday. It's like if I made several posts about Radiohead and Daft Punk performing together. "I know this is unlikely...but would they have a band on stage, or would there be a light show, or..." And NINJA was a totally special circumstance. And websites often list the first day of a festival if a band doesn't know which day it's playing. /discussion

I8: before I lure myself into "cluttering another thread" I will explain this in detail to you.
1)i'm pretty sure that old thread was discarded because of the five pages of fighting. More specifically, you guys bullying Switch around.
2) all of what I said IS BASED on the rumor of AF playing Friday... And it is in no way a wish of mine. Daft Punk And Radiohead is not the same thing. The case with NINJA is that they were already touring together. I think it's a safe bet that anybody who is touring with FF at the time will probably be at Sasquatch.
3) Rather yhan being an ass to those with ideas, try investing in that scroll button on your mouse if you don't like anything I have to say. Otherwise you are just contributing to the "clutter"*. its not like I've posted in here much within the last few days.
*Yeah, what you said counts.
That is all.

No, no, no. The impetus is not on the other posters to skim past your attempts to turn this message board into your personal Livejournal. The burden is on you to stay on topic. You're right -- you haven't posted much in here recently. Try to dig deep into whatever restraint you found last week and bring it back.

Fortunately there is no chance that either of these things will happen.

Actually the most important part of that tour is that Mix Master Mike is on it, which probably means no Beasties shows during that time. I think they were all-but-eliminated from contention, but that should seal it.
