Do you eat small meals throughout the day to maintain your blood sugar? I tend to graze throughout the day and it keeps your metabolism up and you don't end up pigging out at major meals. I have to eat all day or else I get really tired. Since the food I'm eating doesn't provide long term energy I have to eat 5-6 meals. It's very strange to me to do this, especially because I don't get hungry. Before I started this I used to get hungry 3-4 hours after I ate a big meal. That's gone now, and so are most of my cravings. I do miss sugar though. And I'm going to try to get into an exercise routine. I have some really good ones on the wii that I have done before. I just need to get into a routine. Plus work is pretty draining, so it's hard to exercise on top of that.

Plus work is pretty draining, so it's hard to exercise on top of that. That's the hardest part--getting into a routine. But, once you're into one, there's no stopping you! Unfortunately, I'm also in that slump where I'm not consistent with my exercises. I still try to hit a cardio machine at least once a week, but I used to exercise at LEAST 4 days a week. Its that stupid consistent work schedule

Yeah I'm probably going to start swimming again when the weight loss slows down a bit. I really love swimming and it's the lowest impact workout you can get!

I love swimming! I was a swim coach a few years ago. Easily the best job ever.
I also was on a swim team for 10 years or so. As I was getting toward the end of my "career," I was really getting into the butterfly. Who knew? Most people hate that stroke.
Whenever I go to the gym and take my bathing suit with me, though, I usually opt out of it because I NEEED to listen to music while working out. I get bored really fast when swimming laps.

That's crazy! I was a swim team for 7 years, and butterfly was always my favourite. It was faster than my freestyle at one point too.
I don't mind swimming without music. Long swims were always my specialty. I did 3 hours straight once for charity. I also loved the long races, the ones that were over 20 minutes. I just hated when my parents stood at the end of my lane and cheered for the WHOLE time. I'm pacing myself dammit.
Instead of music I always do weird math in my head. Like 'if I swim this fast how long would it take me to swim to my house?' Fun times.

Hi everyone. Bonnaroo native here, newbie to Sasquatch. Super excited though. Driving over from Iowa. Couple suggestions on things to bring.
If your worried about chaffing, bicycle shorts or gold bond. Both work really well. Invest in a "female urination device" best 10 bucks I ever spent. Check out pstyle or go-girl. I know how scary the port o potties get at Roo. I keep my phone, camera, money in a zip lock baggie. That keeps it from getting wet or muddy. Action Wipes. There a lot bigger than baby wipes and clean better also. Plus there eco friendly. I'm a huge fan of going barefoot, but it gets pretty toasty at Roo and Coachella. Anyone here have any thoughts on going barefoot. Umm.. thats all I can think of at the moment.

Barefoot sounds pretty terrifying! I'd be afraid of stepping on glass or getting my feet stomped!

Going barefoot isn't that scary. Most fests don't allow glass of any kind in and as for getting your foot stepped on, it feels about the same when your wearing flip-flops and about as often. ;D
If your still interested in going to Roo, let me know.

I've been thinking about it almost non-stop, but I don't think I can afford it this year. I think I'd need a new car too. The one I have might not make it that far.

If I had enough room in my car I'd give you a ride to Roo. My friends and I are making our way there after Sasquatch.

It's all good! I'll plan it better for next year. I'm moving in August, so I have to save for that. I just can't afford the time off work this year.

It's actually the norm to leave your shoes at the campsite during Sasquatch.

Yeah, Butterfly isn’t too too bad--especially when you’re able to get to get the momentum off of the board for the start of an IM. I think my absolute fastest/best stroke was breast, though (har, har) And yeah, I sometimes hated it when you had the cheerleaders on the side, but since I coached for a while, I saw it really kept the younger kids motivated. They get easily distracted—I was a pretty active coach and I’d run from one end of the pool to the other. Ha. That’s a good idea to keep your mind into the work out. Sometimes I’ll do that when I’m doing cardio. “If I run for five more minutes, I’ll burn enough calories to justify one scoop of ice cream!” Hi everyone. Bonnaroo native here, newbie to Sasquatch. Since you’re familiar with Coachella and Bonnaroo, I don’t doubt you will have a blast at Sasquatch! Props for driving from Iowa! You seem to have some interesting techniques to survive the weekend with. Can’t say I know much about rocking a lady catheter. I gotta be honest. Sounds a little freaky. For the record, the good ol’ Honey Buckets really aren’t too bad. I’ve even changed clothes in them and it wasn’t a big deal. They’re relatively clean. Zip lock baggie. Great idea! Gold Bond? I haven't really had problems with chaffing, but that's probably because I wore sundresses all weekend (HATE shorts). But, for safety's sake, perhaps its worth a try. So, you just slather it on and you're free from shaving irritation and sweat-induced chafing? hm..I always thought it was for guys and their..ahem...nether regions.. Action wipes? Where do you get these? Are they for your bum or your face? I’ve usually just grabbed my wipes from the dollar toiletries section from Target, but if the action wipes are good for the environment, I wouldn’t mind trying those out.

Swimmers Unite! I wish I had gotten a job as a swim instructor or lifeguard instead of working at Mcdonalds.. My life would probably be much different now. That’s a good idea to keep your mind into the work out. Sometimes I’ll do that when I’m doing cardio. “If I run for five more minutes, I’ll burn enough calories to justify one scoop of ice cream!” I'm not going to lie, but this sounds like a terrible way to diet.
