when I get my new, reliable vehicle I'm sure I'll make more daytrips and junk. As of right now I try not to drive too much because I don't trust my vehicle.

I can't even imagine flying... And I did the 36 hour drive to San Deigo and back just fine! I think you all should just let me do what I want. If I can't find people to drive with, I'll just wait until a year when people want to drive with me. I grew up in a small town, with the closest anything at least 2 hours away. I remember driving to the city and back just to get birthday presents. A 4 hour round trip just to stop at Walmart to get a video game or something. And when the craving for Quizno's hits, it's a 2 hour roundtrip to a bigger town. Or even when the pool's closed for the whole summer and it's a 2 hour roundtrip to the next closest one. It doesn't really matter though. I probably won't be going this year, I will probably need a new car before I can drive there, but I will do it someday, and then I'll come back and tell you all how awesome it was, and how I never once wished I was in a plane breathing gross recycled air.

And I'm sure you could get cheaper plane tickets than that. I only paid $300 for round trip from North Carolina to Seattle last year. Domestic Us travel = much more reasonably priced than domestic Canadian or tranboarder travel. *works in aviation*

What part of the industry are you in tash? I'm an aspiring "aviation worker." I knew I liked you for a reason! Admin side of Vancouver's floatplane segment of the industry. Total aviation nerd, right here. What's your interest in the industry? Flying? Mech? Ops? And JUST so I am not completely taking over girly thread for unrelated geekery: My fave festival tool: THE P-MATE. www.femalefreedom.ca/ I swear by these things. The porta-ladiesrooms at Coachella wasn't as bad, but Bonnaroo was DISGUSTING. Not sure how things are at Sasquatch, but I imagine it is the standard "things are good soon after cleaning in the morning, but as soon as people get sloppy drunk, you'll never be surprised by just how bad things can get". Thoughts?

Awesome! There's a pretty great floatplane airline that operates near Seattle that I wouldn't mind putting some time in at some point. Kenmore Air...I'm sure you're familiar with it since they fly into BC.
Anyway, I'm time-building for my commercial certificate right now. Flight instructor training will follow soon after. Glad to have another aviation geek on the board!

I should have warned you ladies, the website is TERRIBLE and does do this product justice. Pictures of woman posing awkwardly while standing to pee should be restricted to adult sites only. Most awful pictures ever.

Or even comfirming if the company happens to be the one that is the largest floatplane fleet in the world? That kinda narrows it down enough, I suppose...

We do work for the same company. I'm in the admin office. If I am thinking of the same person, he's Dock Drew, yeah? I am so sorry for jacking the thread ladies. Hmmm...something else Festival lady related... Past experiences - did you dress for comfort? I always go for the function at these things, but see so many ladies decked out in cute outfits. I don't know how they do it. I don't even know if I would want to because I'd rather be at least hanging out over preening. Are any of you ladies dainty enough to get all glammed for the festival day?
