the next US black keys show is here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesa_Amphitheatrethey're not exactly small. Probably pretty close to the popularity of ween or massive attack, just a different audience.

ebay is one of those people who thinks that if he likes a band, they're probably the biggest band in the world. not really sure where this is coming from, especially considering most of the bands I go to see are hardcore bands that play really small venues. Murder by Death is one of my favorite groups and every time I've seen them headline the club is half empty

I would concede that Massive Attack is more popular on a worldwide scale but they've also been around way longer.

of course. on the other hand, the black keys are pretty derivative and don't do much new with the genres they play.

I would have to agree with stamper, The Black Keys shouldn't be headlining. I would put them in the same spot that the National played in last year.

Agreed with cbat, there is no way the don't at least subheadline if they are on the bill. Going off of ticket sales/quickness to sell out, the Black Keys are a similar draw to Ween and My Morning Jacket (in the NW). I wouldn't be surprised if they headlined a night. It would be only the second headliner I've skipped in my seven years attending the festival.

I'd guess the Keys would be billed as a sub-headliner. The last time I saw them in Seattle, they subbed for the Broken Bells... and I think there are plenty of acts around with more draw than that.
I'm gonna throw out a guess as to which headliner know skipped and say it was one of the two Ben Harper shows.

I added Pulp as A strong possibility, In talking with others on a different thread,it makes sense for sasquatch to get Pulp. Pulp won't be at Coach or bonnaroo this year, and Just like MA last year , if would a strong UK act that would be Different.
Plus fying from Primavera, has been done before and their next date in June 10 in U.K, so there is a small window.
