Thanks Pea and Friendly D. I'll check those out. I already have "Further," so I'll start with that one.

Friday in the Sahara is going to be insane. Boyz Noize and The Chem Bros are two of the acts I am most excited for the entire weekend. Magnetic Man is a pretty great act as well.
Further is definitely a great album front to back. One of my favorite edm releases in recent memory.

Can you recommend some Magnetic Man? I haven't heard/seen anything other than a few youtube vids but a lot of people are really excited for them. I didn't even realize until just recently that Skream was part of it. That excites the hell out of me.

Ok, yea. Magnetic Man is fucking phenomenal.
In other news, my friend and I might be in a bit of a jam for Coachella. We have a hotel room reserved in Palm Springs and originally thought we were going to have 2-3 more people joining us for the fest. The others didn't end up being able to get tickets so as of now it's just the two of us making the trip out there. I know only a few of you are going to Coachella but I figured I would throw this out here first before *cringes* creating a user name on the Coachella boards and posting there.
Idea 1: Are any of you in need of a place to stay for that weekend and possibly interested in boarding with us in our hotel?
Idea 2: If any of you have any extra space in your campsite or have your own hotel plans (preferably closer to Indio than where our hotel is), would you be interested in taking in a couple extra friends?? We're more than willing to pay for any expenditures involved.
Thanks doooods!

So I saw the Coachella lineup with DFA on there, and thought "okay I suppose I should really make my way to Coachella again." I bought tickets. Then the Sasquatch line up came out with DFA on there as well. And thought "well shit.....Sasquatch's line up is pretty badass as well, and most people I want to see at Coachella are also playing Sasquatch with a few extras. So I bought a ticket. For a while I was toying with the idea that I would sell my Coachella tickets and camping and just do Sasquactch. Then I had a dream that JFK and Sebastien had a battle to the death on stage at Coachella and cancelled the rest of their tour. Needless to say I'm going to both.
Pea are you flying to Indio or driving?

Hahahaha best reason ever to attend both.
I'm flying into San Diego and then my friend and I are driving up together.

Well at the moment I'm trying to find someone to trade my car camping pass for a tent camping pass. If that falls through I'm going to have to find someone with a car who needs a place to camp. Wont make that decision until I have my tickets in my hand, but I'll keep you in mind.

Hey Pea,
I have a camping pass and at the moment there are three of us, which is likely the limit my tent could hold. If you guys have a larger tent, we would be more than willing to squeeze you in.

Thanks for the offer man! We're still trying to rope together some more roommates for our hotel because my friend only wants to camp as a last resort but I'll definitely keep that in mind. Again, much appreciated.

Hey Knowy, Spiritualized has been on the rumor table for a late add to Coachella. Thought you might appreciate hearing that.

That would be a pretty bad-ass addition. I caught them on their last tour, but was pretty disappointed with the show. Part of it was my fault, because I knew they were supporting their new album, so they wouldn't play a lot of songs off "Ladies And Gentlemen...," but they only played three off that album (if my memory serves me right). I'll bet a festival set would be heavy with "Ladies And Gentlemen..." material. I would die a happy man if I ever saw, "Cop Shoot Cop," live.

I think they've been playing "Ladies and Gentlemen..." in its entirety, or they did a few times, right? That would be incredible to witness

I was going to mention that, but I read a while back their London performance was the last time they will play that album live. Seeing it would be bigger than seeing Radiohead. I'm a bit obsessed.

Ok so my lodging plans have changed. I'm still looking for some people to room with me so I'll just paste what I posted over at the Coachella boards. Obviously if any of you are coming, or know of anyone coming and are looking for a place to stay I would be much happier rooming with some semi-familiar internet friends haha.
Myself (male, 24) and my friend (female, 25) have a hotel room reserved 3 miles north of festival grounds for Friday the 15th through Sunday the 17th and would love to take in 2-3 roommates to help split the cost. It has 1 king size bed, 1 roll-out bed, a small kitchen, and bathroom. Depending on how many people end up in the room I was thinking 1 or 2 blow up air mattresses could easily accommodate anyone without an actual bed to sleep on. I purchased the reservation through a 3rd party so the price of the room was obviously marked up, and it isn't exactly a Mariott quality hotel either, but considering that beforehand we were planning on making a 60+ mile round trip each day it's definitely worth it to us to be staying so close to the festival. The total for the weekend is $800 and will be divided equally amongst everyone in the room, so I'm hoping to get at least 2 more people in there to bring the cost to $200 each. The only thing I require is that everyone be over 21 and extremely respectful of the room. My credit card will be on file with the motel so I would be liable for any damages. None of that please. We do love to party our faces off though so hit me with a reply or a private message if you're interested!

I still don't see the draw of staying in a hotel when camping is an option. It's sort of like how we all laugh at people staying in hotels at Sasquatch, right? I know Coachella is a lot different that Sasquatch, and I've read many people prefer hotels/houses/condos at Coachella because of the heat. I still would rather wander to a tent than have to deal with a car ride in the middle of the night, so I'm willing to suffer this year to see how bad the camping is. If I wasn't so set on camping, I'd definitely be down for staying with you.

My friend didn't really want to camp at all and since she provided my festival ticket I was happy to oblige. We plan on spending some time in the campground for sure though!
