I wouldn't expect to hear from him for another day or two. Dude is gonna need some quiet time haha. Yah, I bet. That drive back is brutal even if you're not totally wiped the fuck out.

Atleast Vanessa Hudgens wasn't naked. Uhh yeah. Thank God for that. Naked Vanessa Hudgens would have been tragic.

I wouldn't expect to hear from him for another day or two. Dude is gonna need some quiet time haha. Yah, I bet. That drive back is brutal even if you're not totally wiped the fuck out. Just made it back in town, I brought some Indio sun back, so you locals can thank me. The drive was a lot of fun, although the sleep deprivation slightly caught up to me near the end of the drive. Thank you Red Bull. I haven't had 5 hours a sleep in a night since Saturday, 10 days ago. I morphed into machine mode. On the drive back, I passed the same car on the highway four times over two days. It happened. Hung out with Peatrick six or seven times. The timing was perfect, it was either early in the day when I sucking my thumb waiting to pass out from sleep deprivation/heat exhaustion/hangover/hurt brain with a tear rolling down my cheek looking for a pedi-cab to take me to an air conditioned hotel, or at the campground at 1 a.m. when I had long since forgotten how to pronounce syllables. He got a bribery video of me doing the hippy flail in the dance tent one afternoon during Jack Beats. Little does he know it was actually a series of involuntary twitches. I saw probably 70 bands, and only caught about 10 full sets, so I have a lot to say. I'll give the short version in the next couple days, and the 20,000 word long version on the Cog in the next couple weeks. Other than the obvious highlights, the Aquabats stand out as one of the most entertaining sets of the weekend. I expected them to play early in the day, so parents could bring their kids, but it worked well after dark. Watching the jaws drop of people high off their asses seeing super heroes fight villains on stage while cartoons and classic comedy movie clips played on the monitors was priceless. Even though their target audience is nine years old, most of the crowd was in a nine year old state of mind. I've had the song "Luck Dragon Lady" stuck in my head since they played it, complete with a replica of the "Never Ending Story," creature, and a midget on stage (the midget may or may not have been Danny Devito, at this moment I don't know, and I'm being completely serious). I was the first person to the Spiritualized exhibit. It wasn't open yet, so I kept getting the, "come back in 2 hours" line from the security guard. The seventh time I went, it was actually open, and it was a major let down. It was probably already a let down because I had to go seven times before I got in. Outside of a minor sunburn, those were the only things that stand out as less than spectacular the entire weekend.

I have no idea what you're talking about... Ha, I was just embellishing the story. It was the time early in the day when we were in the dance tent, and we were both taking videos with our phones. I think it was Jack Beats, the dude that did the Passion Pit remix. You were doing a panoramic crowd shot, and went either through my head, or over it. You may or may not have me on film. It took ever last bit of energy I had at that point to shake my knee and bob my head.

Hahaha ohh ok. Don't worry, your forehead hid anonymousy among the crowd. I'll be sure to stick a giant red arrow with your name above it before I post it anywhere

It was pretty insane seeing some of the kids over the weekend just out of their fucking skulls. I mean, I like drugs as much as the next person, but you gotta know your limits and know how to handle your high.
I can't tell you how many times I was dancing in the sahara at like 3 in the afternoon in the sweltering heat and some kid would walk up to me rolling balls asking for more pills. Like, what the hell are you thinking?

Holy fuck. That is one hell of an intense read. PCP maybe? DMT? You would have to be 100% disconnected from the universe to attempt something like that...
On a brighter note, my Coachella review/racap might finally happen tonight. Oh boy! This week has been so damn exhausting and busy but I should have some spare time tonight.

And like wompwomp said...those fucking kids rolling balls during the hottest parts of the day...tisk tisk. Come ON people. I could barely bring myself to drink a cold beer at that point. Save your drugs for the pretty lights and colors during the wonderfully comfortable evening temperatures.
