If you're up front at the main stage from when the gates open, you'll miss great shows from Natalie Prass, S, Sharon Van Etten, Alvvays, Run the Jewels, and many more. Yeah I know, it's definitely a sacrifice. I've already seen Run The Jewels and I'm hoping to catch Alvvays another time. There's just so many of my favorite bands on the stage that day (Courtney Barnett, Future Islands, Tame Impala, Kendrick Lamar) that I'd love to be close for. As a general rule, hanging out at one stage all day is a bad idea. However, if there ever was a day that it would be acceptable to do so, it would be that Monday. If it wasn't for RTJ and The Districts, I could almost see myself doing the same thing.

Thanks! That's actually a really cool idea on their part, usually gets extremely crowded up there. And yeah I'm trying to get front row for Kendrick so I'm gonna get there right when the gates open. But how do you do things like eat and drink and pee?

But how do you do things like eat and drink and pee? Hahah well I'd bring a lot of cliff bars and some water bottles. I feel like all the great music would be enough to distract me from that stuff. I'll definitely let you guys know how it all pans out.

I feel like the breaks between music would be enough to remind you that you haven't peed all day. Unless you are going to pee in the bottles? Don't mix those up once it gets dark...

This is apparently a really common practice at UK festivals like Reading and Leeds or T in the Park, but with a bit of a twist. People will camp out on the front rail all day, pissing in cups, and then throw them back into the crowd. The guy I crashed with in London had been hit a couple times with these cups during his years of festivaling.

Obviously he is going to pee in the bottles. Dudes camped out all day at Bonnaroo to be front row for Pooch McCooch had more pee bottles than I've ever seen, and I've been a truck driver.

Is there a retailer near the Gorge that sells craft beers? I'll be coming from the South East. Bonus Question: How do you protect your treasures from would-be cooler thieves while inside the venue? I imagine putting them in a vehicle would get hot and ice would melt rapidly.

We keep ours in the back of an SUV normally. ALthough honestly sometimes they get left outside. Your best option is to just drink your beer before it gets warm, then rely on the kindness of strangers (I haven't heard about that much beer, if any, being stolen- but we might just be lucky)
