I am hoping to make it to Total Fest this summer. If I do I will definitely be checking out that brewery. Sadly, I always manage to miss Total Fest. There are quite a few good breweries in Missoula for such a small town. You'll usually see a selection of local brew at any of the venues as well. destinationmissoula.org/breweries

That is good to know!
Tonight I am going to a Pelican brewer's night in Bellingham. A few years ago we visited that brewery and it was fantastic top to bottom. I'm hoping to see some limited or special releases at the event tonight. We get the cream, IPA, silverspot IPA and stout frequently in town.

Today I went to bottle some alcoholic maple/vanilla soda that I brewed. It had turned into vinegar. I am saddened to have dumped 20 litres of boozy vinegar down the drain. Someone hold me.

Had to go to Richland tonight for an all day training tomorrow. Went to the Atomic Ale brewpub and had the Atomic Amber and Half-Life Hefe, both were excellent, and some good pizza too. I don't recommend going to the tri-cities ever if you can help it, but if you're ever sentenced to a night there, I recommend checking them out.

Went to a brewers night tonight in BHAM at The Copper Hog. Found out that Alpine Brewing (out of CA) was purchased by Green Flash Brewing (San Diego). They had a tap takeover between the two of them. Fantastic breweries for the hop heads. The non-hoppy beers were OK but if you are an IPA fan this would have been a boner fest for you. That is a good thing. Boners are great.

I've been keeping drinking to a minimum lately, because I'm on a diet/fitness regimen, but tonight I'm sipping on some Lagunitas Sucks. So tasty.

Anybody down in San Diego?? There is a sweet special release at Alesmith. Originally a faint idea dreamt up by Tony Gwynn and Peter Zien, the now imperial version of their collaboration, San Diego Pale Ale .394, will make an appearance in our 20th Anniversary Specialty Release Series. All proceeds from this beer will go towards raising funds for the Tony Gwynn Museum which will honor this hall of famer and raise money for TAG (Tony & Alicia Gwynn Foundation) at AleSmith's new facility.
HALL OF FAME IMPERIAL SAN DIEGO PALE ALE .394 (ABV 9%)
AleSmith's Hall of Fame version of the legendary Tony Gwynn .394 San Diego Pale Ale pays tribute to the one and only Mr. Padre and his commitment to excellence. Just like its predecessor, this "imperial" or "double" .394 is bursting with even more American hops, lending the beer a diverse palate of citrus, tropical fruit, and pine. Tony envisioned this beer in early 2014 and AleSmith is honored to make another one of his dreams come true.
"Tony Gwynn was incredibly proud to be a member of the San Diego community; he impacted lives all over the world. He was the heart, soul, and flavor of San Diego for so many years and now you can taste his passion with every sip." - Alicia Gwynnwww.brownpapertickets.com/event/1443609

Had a delicious IPA made by Structures Brewing to celebrate their one year anniversary. If you make it to Bellingham try and check them out. They are originally from Vermont and make some unique beers. Kinda similar vibe to Holy Mountain.

Nice! Haven't had a chance to try that one. Been more on a tequila kick lately. Ready to switch back to a steady beer diet for a while haha

Snag an extra hop slam if not too inconvenient please

Oh sweet Jesus. Can I get in on a Hop Slam? It's only the #1 beer you've talked about to me over the years.

Now that I no longer live in the US, I have to make a point to visit bottle shops any time I come down. Picked these ones up today.

I have yet to try a beer from Mollusk. I wasn't really a fan of them when they were under the name Epic but I have been meaning to check them out. I have a buddy in Anchorage right now for work and I was trying to get him to bring me some Anchorage Brewing beers back haha.

Mollusk used to be Epic?? Now that's a weird name/brand change. I wonder what the reason was.

I'm not 100% certain but I think it was a branding change to go along with their restaurant. Or maybe there was some beef about the name between them and the Utah brewery (Epic).
