I haven't been to Apex yet. Last Portland trip I made I went to Hair Of The Dog, Burnside Brewing and HUB. Hair of The Dog is dangerous! If you have much more than their sampler you are going to be on your ass. PS found 3 of these today: Congratulations on the amazing gift you just bought yourself!

I haven't been to Apex yet. It is pretty cool. Around 50 beers on tap plus bottles and they have good pinball.

Oh yay for Apex! HG and Stormy sexually introduced me to that place. Great selection of beer and a really fun pinball room.

Okay. First post on the craft beer thread and it's not about craft beer unless we timewarp to the mid 1800's, but IGA around the corner from my pad is selling Blue Boar sixers for $2.99. Had to share.

Went to school in Arcata, CA. Lived in Portland for a bit. Spent plenty of time in Seattle. meow live in Montana.
Hence, the disclaimer in my post about the 1800's.
Can talk craft beer with the best. Have spent plenty of hard earned money in many a microbrewery. That's a promise and a fact.
CHEERS. This Irish Style Pale is DELICIOUS!!!
EDIT: Can also talk crap beer with the best. Schmidt anyone?

Went to the Neptune last night for Dr Dog and prior to the show we went to Big Time Brewery. I was not impressed with most of their beers. If I had to drink one it would be their Bagwhan's Best (IPA). Decided to peace out after the sampler (nothing was good enough to where I wanted another). Headed to get some strong ass whiskey cokes at Earls instead

Had to share. ] Blue Boar used to be a tolerable cheapish beer but since they sold the brewery a while back the formula changed and I can't stand it.

I have never tried Bell's...is Hopslam the first one you have had or have you tried their lineup?

I have their stuff all the time. Two Hearted in particular is a great beer. Hopslam only comes out once a year with a limited run so they charge an arm and a leg for it.

I managed to get some Pliny the Younger yesterday. It was good but definitely over-hyped in terms of taste. But damn I would wear it as a perfume if that were even halfway reasonable.

Just filled my growler of the hometown IPA (Boundary Bay) to pre-funk for the Budos Band tonight!!!!! I tried to get them to fill my growler with their Irish Red but they don't fill seasonal beer. Oh well, will just have to go down and get it sometime soon
